NOS may hang, but not kill.....what shot is that, and is it the wet or dry kit?

BS., no way a I4 can hang with the V6. Even with 100 shot NOS, the NOS doesnt kick in till WOT at the top end. By that time, your eating my dust.

i think an I4 manual can hang with a V6 auto...at least to 60...(both 0-60's are in the mid-high 7's)

Nope

But with some nitrous oxide, that can easily change.

ur post has SOME truth to it i guess... i raced a TSX (it had wheels from all i could see, and a chick in the passenger seat) and i took em... i let em start first kuz we didnt really rev or n e thing, i kinda knew he would go for it so i was ready in D1... (was using D1 to D2 to D3...) and by the top of 3rd i was pulling on him NO PROB... im almost sure it was a 6sp kuz i looked over for a sec while passing him and i saw him shove the shifter, that foo was tryin like a mo-fo'...

i give it credit for being an i4 tho

I4 vs V6 - What was I thinking?

Last week on the way home from work on the freeway, I overtook what I thought was an Audi A4 (4 cyl, turbo, 170hp stock - I know, because I had an '02).

Well, to my horror, I look in my rear view and here it comes and passes me like I'm standing still (and I was going pretty fast!). While eating his dust, I read the rear emblem on the car: S4, no plates yet . . . . so this was a probably a 2005 Audi S4 Quattro with 340 hp! Oh well!

Yea, you're right. The auto V6 is no where near the mid 7's for 0-60. More like mid 6's, like you said.

And with only the addition of an Injen CAI, I can bust 0-60 in 6.2 to 6.3 seconds.

No way in hell....already tried that, and the I4 was behind before 60. And the run i ran was a m/t.

if you want to hang with the big boys, trade in for a V6....... the only reason to get the I4 is to save on insurance. (For me it was a $400 diff/year, its $400 well spent)

I think im going to test out how my car does with my friends V6. Im really anit into racing this car that much. This nos system was mostly for show. I know I would lose no matter what. I have a full system in the back. I have a 75 shot in the Nos system right now. Here are more pic of the setup.

I knocked essentially a full second off with a 50 shot in my Maxima, the 75 shot may be enough for a high 15 second car to overcome a high 14/low15 second car, a lot of it's in the tuning. I wouldn't be surprised if he can take an auto V6. Edit: assuming a 5spd in the 4cyl.

Oh, and one reason to go 4cyl over 6...turbo.

Uh, NITROUS, not NOS, kicks in whenever you want it to kick in. Who doesn't race at WOT? I spray at the bottom of second in either car for traction purposes, that's most certainly not on the top end, nor am I limited to use it only on the top end. Time for some homework. 100 shot should easily put a 5spd 4cyl into the 14's, which is what the V6 runs. 100 shot is pretty substantial.
