Car won't steer!

Bare with me guys I'm a total noob but the steering on my car is so bad that it isn't safe to drive. Turning the wheel requires yanking with both hands. It's even harder when it's cold, it gets a little better as it warms up. When the car isn't moving and I turn the wheel there is a whine that gets louder.

I know nothing of cars so I haven't checked the ps fluid. I wanted to get some opinions before walking into a dealership. I just got laid off last week so I'm really struggling ATM. I have some handy friends that I'm going to get to help me but I'm curious as to if any of you had experienced the same thing. Car is a 2005 ex v6 6 speed.

I heard there is a recall on power steerig fluid hoses, could this be the culprit?

Don't walk into a dealership if you're laid off. But do ask them about the recall and see if your car is affected.

Have a reliable local shop take a look at it. Buy your parts online if that's the case. And have the shop replace it.

Honda is covering the repair under recall

I ended up calling the stealership and they will be doing the work for free under the recall. I figured I'd upate incase anyone else had the same problem, it's honda's issue not ours. Let them pay for it
