Tcs light

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum and also to owning an accord. This past Saturday I picked a 2003 accord sedan. While driving usually after a turn, the TCS light and warning triangle come on. Just wondering if anyone has faced this, and I'm trying to get a starting point without having to pay for a scanner hook up.

Does the light only flash when you turn and goes off? If yes, check your tires (thread, correct air pressure, etc) or wheel sensors. If it stays on, have someone, or at night, check if your brake lights come on immediately or if they are delayed ie press brake with tcs light on, brake lights come on a few seconds later. That would a bad brake light switch. This is a $7 part from the dealer located below the dash, right above the brake pedal assembly. About 5mins to replace. If this doesn't fix it then I believe the abs unit may be bad. GL

Awesome thanks for the starting point. It didn't flash, it stays on. Once the car is turned off, the light stays off for a while. Sometimes even a day.

Our cars dont have a physical floater inside the master cylinder its electrical. In my car 03 6-6 coupe when i sucked out my brake fluid air got into the little pocket where the floater measures and my TCS light and triangle have been on ever since. Check your master cylinder and see if its filled your brake fluid may not be topped off so when you turn the fluid shift away from that pocket which then sucks in air thats why the light comes on.
