Cheapest place to get an OEM Honda cat?

Where's the cheapest place to get an OEM Honda Catalytic Converter for my 03 Honda Accord LX 4 door 2.4 dohc, 5 spd manual?

the Walker OE replacement I had installed in August is throwing p0420 again and the light is on. attempts to reset the computer with an obd-II are unsuccessful.

I'm gonna buy a new cat and o2 sensors because I have emissions coming up at the end of May in Denver, otherwise I can't renew my registration.

Go to RockAuto dot com

You can't go wrong with those guys, I've been using them for years. Get everything in one place.

Usually for the price of cheap aftermarket parts, you can buy much better parts from Rockauto, even including shipping.

Rockauto does not carry OEM parts, only Aftermarket.

You are gonna have to find an online dealer with the cheapest price.

But, if you have a hookup at your local junk yard, then...

because I live in Denver number one. They have pretty stringent emissions testing. no I'm not moving out of Denver. I have a great situation and it works for me.

My converter is bad. I already bought a piece of junk aftermarket one and it's still causing my light to come on. I can't pass with that damn light on.

So I'm just going to spend the money and buy the OEM and some O2 Sensors and be done with it.

as cheap as possible.

If the v6 and yours use the same ones I may have one.
Alternatively you may be able to just use a defouler spacer or just aluminum tape over the holes and pinprick through it. Or copper rtv in most of them. Or there are simulators that will pretend to be an o2.

I've never had trouble passing the visual and the sniffer test with aftermarket cat converters. Wondering if the code you're throwing is something to do with the O2 sensor and not the cat?

I know RockAuto doesn't carry Honda / OEM - but I don't see finding an OEM part that cheap at all....thus the aftermarket cats available for just about every make / model of car.

Magnaflow makes a direct fit replacement as well.

Totally sucks that the walker is giving you issues. Are our cars too sensitive for aftermarket cats? I just clear the code and drive around before smog lol

I don't even know what a defouler is.

If I clear the code, it comes back on 15 minutes later. can't get it to stay off long enough to go get an emissions test.

and where is it that you live at? Same state and city? Different locales have different standards for emissions testing.

I dont think it's our cars are too sensitive, I think its the aftermarket cats aren't up to spec with the standards that Honda utilizes.

interestingly, I had a 91 civic that I stuck a cheapo aftermarket cat on and the light went off and was never an issue again as long as I had that car.

its illegal to sell used cats. That's why car-parts.com doesn't list it.

I found a brand new OEM one for $462. no core charge. UPS Ground shipping $22.86.

not too bad. most places online want $600 or higher ($450+ plus $150 core charge) plus the shipping.

no it isn't. they just have to be re-certified before you can re-sell them.
