J30A5 cylinder compression?

EDIT: Sorry, it should say J30A4 not J30A5.

What's considered normal cylinder compression for this engine? I just did a compression check on my 03 Accord and got values of 220, 232, 225, 230, 237, and 225. I followed the instructions in my Haynes manual, which instructs to crank the engine 7 times for each individual test (more than other tutorials I've read, if that means anything). The manual says the minimum pressure should be 135psi and the max fluctuation should be +/- 28psi. Now, I understand absolute values aren't as important as differential between cylinders, but ~230psi is far greater than the 135psi minimum. The manual doesn't give a maximum or optimal pressure.

Also, the compression gauge is brand new. The engine was hot. And this was a dry test. I figured there's no point in doing a wet test with numbers this high

Anybody? My Google searches are only turning up high compression in a single cylinder. Nobody seems to have this problem in all cylinders. Google searches also seem to say that in general (most vehicles), the compression is ideally around 170psi. In which case I'm way way above that. I saw one thread online about a guy who was getting 220psi on a j30a4, but it was a custom machined race engine. So I highly doubt my 174k stock j30a4 is in THAT good of condition.

Your numbers look really good. I think I was cracking 200-220 on 7 cranks. Paul (NVAAV6) say to do a single crank and it should be 125?? I tried his method and mine was a little low at 100. I never heard of that method so it confused me. You can check my thread a few pages back, we had a little debate on it

I just checked the gauge by hooking it up to my dad's compressor. At 30psi and 60psi, both gauges matched. My dad's compressors gauge only goes up to 100psi, and it takes forever to get up that high, so I stopped at 60.
