So after some research I went ahead and cut a coil off my springs

Aftermarket springs, just to clear things up.
Drives like ASS!
I just went ahead and ordered some new springs.
I had Espelir ASD's, which were great, but not low enough for my taste. I mean, I had them on my car for a little over a year, but I wanted the car lower, so I just cut a coil off.
I didn't like the ride at all.
I did like how it looked, though.

I'm gonna try to get a pic up

Anybody who says they cut coils AND got a great ride is lying! Especially on progressive springs.

wow... really.. cut springs. Why don't you just get coils. You can adjust them and they ride good. Or just get ground control sleeves and put them on your shocks.

I just finished ordering some springs that give the car a 2'' drop on all four corners. I also have 25mm spacers in the front and 30mm out back, so it looks pretty straight.
I'll post some pics of how it looks as it sits now

with your springs will you be using your stock shock/struts? I hear koni yellows are a good combination with springs, but I have always been a coilover guy. I have function typ 2.5 with 12k springs on my 7t gen and Man o Man do I love them. 32 way adjustable. when I turned them up to stiffest setting. it is practically unbearable on daily driving, but in spirited driving it is absolutely amazing.

Where did you get that ghetto idea? Cutting a spring or any spring is the dumbest thing you can do to a suspension system. You can do anything to make a ride look good but if you want to drive it then all bets are off.

I love the title...after doing some research. During your research didn't you see thousands of posts saying don't cut your springs?

I guess I did not; I only saw some that stated that if you just cut one coil you'll be okay. I should receive the new ones any day now.
