clunking noise in front struts

so i installed s tech springs on my 7th gen coupe and now i am hearing clunking noise bad in the both fronts everything is tight the noise is coming from the top of the strut anyone help out with what the noise could be ??

is it when you hit bumps?? are the struts old???

Yes when I hit bumps its an 05 with 60k on them

i think you need new struts to be honest... or ball joints...

Ya I was thinking the ball joints as well also I didn't cut the bump stops could that be somthing making the noise ?

i didnt cut mine either, but i did have the same noise your talking about at about 60k and it ended up being a blown strut.

blown strut, bottoming out or check the nut on the top hat. if that thing is loose it makes a clunk noise to.

yes everything is tight. but they would both go right away with a set of springs installed?

no, but if the struts were already getting worn out then the stress they are under with being lowered could cause them to finally just fail. have you looked at your ball joints yet though?

ya none of them are riped or anything did the old lift the car up and try to wiggle the tire trick and the tire didnt move

Mine does that noise when I go over bumps too! I checked and I have a bad ball joint..

I have that noise also when I hit bumps. More from my driver side strut but I changed that one about 3 months ago!

Put mines on the lift today during class, and my clunking noise is coming from my tie rod.
