iirc, those hfp 19s are only 7.5 or 8 inches wide. so you could use 225/35 or 225/40 and be just fine.

HFP 19's are 19x8 et55. Your tire options are:

215/35
225/35
225/40
235/35
245/35
245/40

To not throw off the speedodometer by more thatn 3% (i.e. OEM rolling diameter is approximately 25.4"), check the rolling diameter for each tire size. I believe the only sizes that are beyond the 3% rolling diameter change are the 215/35 and 245/40. You should also take into account side wall thickness and tire width, whatever is your preference. Thicker side wall and larger tire width should provide more protection of your wheels. GL!

Hate to bring up an old thread but I'm have a similar question to andy.

I want to install the 19" HFP PDS-10 wheels on my '06 6MT Coupe. I have the HFP suspension installed. I'm debating between 225/40/19 and 235/35/19. Tire calc Tire size calculator has 235/35/19 being the proper rolling diameter with 0 variance but I'm concerned about running 35 series tires here in Pittsburgh. Potholes are pretty bad here so I was thinking going with 225/40/19 to offer some additional side wall protection. Thoughts???
