Kumho Tire Choice

Need your advice on what tires to get.

I live in Atlanta, GA its getting colder but rarely snows here so I don't know if I should just go with a summer tire or all season. I have a 03 coupe v6 (6spd). 18 by 8.5 wheels.

Ecsta LE Sport (max performance summer)

Kumho*Ecsta LE Sport

Kumho Ecsta 4X (ultra high performance all-season)

Kumho*Ecsta 4X

I would go with the 4x because it offers way more thread life.. and the tires are essentially the same price.
If you have a little extra cash I would look into Continental DWS, I have them and I love them and the thread wear rating is 540 which is amazing..
They are amazing..

Almost all summer performance tires offer very little thread life. The few that do are usually very expensive. As a result, all season performance tires usually provide the best compromise between performance, thread life, and cost. I had kind of the same issue as you. My last set of summer performance tires lasted less than 20,000 miles. Although they were great tires, I didn't want to go through the hassle and expense of having to replace tires frequently. When I researched Tire Rack I couldn't find summer tires that met my requirements and switched to the performance all season category.

Kumho 4x. For a Cheap good performing all-season

The LE Sports will have about a 20k mile treadlife.

If you want a good summer tire with longer treadlife, get the Firestone Firehawk or Bridgestone Potenza RE760. Those will last 30k miles.
