you're right bro. we're 100% grassroots. I worked for a shop in the past, but now I do everything on the side of my house. I do have plans to open a shop but right now funding just isn't all there. However racing has been pretty successful and we're getting support from people all over. Time Attack is one of the best series to race in because most of the time attack community are very helpful and friendly.

Any pics of the custom stuff?

What were the recommendations from the Tein engineers for your setup/road-racing?

Can't put up any pictures of my custom stuff. I don't want any knock off companies to steal the idea and mass produce.

As for TEIN. they didn't make any recommendations because I've been testing the car and dialing it in at the track all year for this event. So at this event it was already setup. We didn't make any changes. However I will be working with them for 2013 on a set of custom TEIN Super Racing coilovers, specificially valved for my car. Than they will come out and do testing with us with a fresh slate again.

with the spring rates i have, they suck balls. But I don't daily drive the car. it's a once in a blue moon sunday cruise, and track car only.

I don't recommend dailying on such expensive coilovers. it's wasteful imo.

Yea that's what I figured. I'm installing Tein basics (got them from Mike) which seem to have a much better spring rate for a DD. Was curious how the other Tein setups did in terms of comfort - thanks for the info

Definitely, spring rates is most important to ride comfort. quality of coilover is structural integrity and design + valving. I recommend TEIN in regards to that. other companies that make stuff for our car just aren't up to par IMO. If course people will argue otherwise. Everyone has their preference. If you want to be dumped to the ground, TEIN won't get you that. TEIN will get you comfort, ride quality, and a good enough lowered stance.

Which is exactly what I'm looking for - to eliminate wheel gap w/o suffering ride quality as she's my DD. I've been dumped to the ground before and even though looking nice, ride quality suffered and all of my passengers hated it. So I think I made the right choice with the Tein Basics...

how the hell do you have a custom sub frame? aluminum? remember the thread about the tl-s subframe and whether it would fit the accord or not? i am still really interested in finding an answer to that, but i guess you took action and moved on lol. i have a sneaking suspicion i'm running a tl subframe, but i'll have to ask teh one master smalser.

Cleaner et al,

Don't bring your train wreck from the other thread into this one. I've deleted these posts and expect not to see any more.

Have a nice day
