Mugen Sports Suspension Kit

Has anyone tried these?

Mugen Sports Suspension Kit

It says they are made for TSX but according to design, isn't TSX and Accord share similar suspension layout? Not to mention similar weight and weight distributions as well.

MSRP at $1000.00 is a bit steep to me but since it is MSRP, I think there might be cheaper if we can find it somewhere.

Also, how is it compared with Tein and other famous shocks since Mugen is very reputable company for making performance parts for Honda.

I wonder how close it is the the HFP kit's strut/shocks??

Did you see the $980 TSX airbox WTF?
http://www.kingmotorsports.com/product.asp?detail=1670
You'd have to be insane to spend a grand on an airbox.

Probably made of "Carbon Fiber" that makes it so expensive.

Oh well.

By the way, there's one way that you can get the Honda Factory Performance Suspensions BUT at a very high price, Basically, they are made by Modulo, the official Honda ACESS optional equipment manufacturer.

I believe THESE are the same as the USA HFP ones. Look at the sport suspensions that is 62,000 Yen. There's even adjustable ones at about double the price.

I got a quote from an agent in Japan for about $1000.00 for the sport shocks and $2000.00 for the adjustable ones shipped. But they are way too expensive IMO.

Besides, Honda may not value the warranty if you did not buy HFP as a package and installed by the dealer.

Tell that JERK to stop smoking crack, and maybe he can make some sales! So many of us are awaiting aftermarket shocks, and if there was a way to get those HFP shocks from that "agent" at a reasonable group buy price, then they'd make a killing! they'd have to come out of the psych ward first though!

I ordered them directly from Kingmotorsports
$1,030.00 shipped to my door. It took 6 days to receive them. The kit is not height adjustable, it lowered the car about 1.5 inches. Front is ok but rear needed the camber kit. Install was done easily and well at the local Meineke shop for about $200.00 including tip. I can try posting before and after pics if you are interested.

peace

I don't see them on King's website, do you have to get it from Japan? Any connections?

when they say accord, i dont hink they are refering to the USDM accord, i think they are talking abou the UKDM accord, which is especially what the TSX is a rebadged UKDM accord, similar suspension setup, they may just be reffering to the shock valving and spring rates, with all else being the same.
