Need help with wheel choice

Hello group, I originally posted this in one of the wheel threads but that thread seemed more for showing off your wheels so I posted a new one.

Im trying to help my daughter out, she is 17 and wants a set of wheels for her stock 04 Accord sedan. I dont know much about aftermarket wheel fitment so I thought I would ask for some help.

She found a set of wheels she likes and the size is Size: 16x7
Bolt Pattern: 5x100/114.3 Offset: +38mm. From what I found, the only difference is the offset as the stock is 55mm ( I think). I assume that would just make the wheel stick out 17mm more than stock? Would there be any issue in just bolting these up with the stock tire size of 205/60/16?

Thanks for helping me out!

Dave

^ wasn't aware that 7th gens came with 16" rims.

You will be fine. I don't see anything that would make it come even close to rubbing. I would personally put 17" or 18's on there. Seems like 16's would leave a massive gap.

^ probably has a cyl. No problem with the 38mm offset. What is the width of the rim? 7? 8?

^ it's in the OP 16x7. All I can imagine is gap all around, but I'm turning into a Slammed obsessed person, with a hatred for Wheel gap. LOL

These specs dont even come close to having issues. Hell, On Tein Springs I had 19x8's with 235 tires and didn't touch my fenders.

Thanks for all your advice, like I said this really isn't my thing. Is there a guide on this forum or somewhere on the web that can give me an idea on the tire size that I could put on there if I were to go with a 17 or 18 inch wheel?

go with 17 x 7 since the tire for it are fair cheap. check out discount tire direct they have a deal going on if you buy wheel and tires from them.

deffs would go 18 or 17 at the very least.
offset can vary but 35-40 will be fine

You're a cool dad! I also suggest going bigger, it will look better. Also lowering it will dramatically improve the looks. What wheels does she like?
