going OEM Acura RL Big Brake Kit

getting stuff powdercoated and will post some pics after

i grabbed a set of both rear OEM 7th Gen. Accord Calipers since they are not replaceable without a lotta additional work and they will be getting powdercoated as well

dropped off Caliper to Machine Shop today to shave off the ACURA:

i like these but am going for Red Caliper, Yellow lettering

Big Brembo brakes upgrade for Accord 2.2 i-ctdi - Modifying - TypeAccord

powdercoating guy did offer to do it but he said if i wanted it completely smooth so there wouldn't be any wavy look of the Logo, it would be best to take it to a Machine Shop. Cost was a bit less than expected $25

picked it up a few days ago, turned out great! off to Powdercoat!

Couple extras that will be needed:

Disc Brake Quiet for around $8ish:

Powdercoater did recommend getting new Caliper Seals or Honda/Acura call it Caliper Set:

i ordered 1 (other one looked ok) for one of the Fronts 05+ Acura RL for $69.87/shipped from oemacuraparts.com on 10/2017

Bernardi was a bit more for me shipped to CO @ $71.68
HondaAcuraonline.com @ $72.89
Local Dealer @ $106.94

i didn't order for the Rear Calipers (yet to hear back how they look disassembled) Honda Accord V6 03+ but did grab some pricing if it can help someone else in the future:

Rears
OEM - 01473-sv4-000 - best price before shipping for one, X 2 if both sides need them:

$21.62 - Majestic
$22.13 - HondaPartsNow
$22.90 - Bernardi

got everything back from my Powdercoating guy and they look great! he definitely did more than $240 worth in labor & materials...plus there was a seized bolt on the Front caliper and those bolts aren't easy to find but he was able to fix it for me

if your in CO and need Powdercoat work done at an awesome price, PM me anytime

really glad i took his advice on going with black for the bolts...i think yellow would have stood out too much

i wanna install them sooo bad but it'll have to be after the Holidays and presents & stuff

You did real good all around on those prices. Everything was done right, machine work, new seals and all. They look great.

thanks!

finally saved up enough to get them installed

Speed Workz in CO Springs, CO did an awesome job and definitely went above and beyond

total cost for Install was more than the $400ish due to my 18s not clearing them (i will get the offset on my wheels so hopefully this can help someone in the future since i thought almost any 18" would work and 1 known 17"...TL-S "waffle wheels")

Big Brake Calipers & Rotors installed (Front)
installed OEM 7th Gen. Accord powdercoated Calipers
Bled Brake Lines

due to my 18s not clearing:

they were able to source Spacers that same day and took out all 10 studs because w/the spacer, the studs were a bit short and safety wise, it was best to swap them out

with the Spacer, there is a tad bit of wheels sticking out

total cost, $480...i haven't "tested" them yet. i figure find a giant empty parking lot and see how they perform...will report back w/results then
