Getting 19s

I busted one of my tires hitting a pothole last week, rather than replacing the tire, I used it as an excuse to get wheels and tires, I was looking for 18" but I got a sweet deal on the 19", good enough to change my mind about the size. Here is what I'm getting,
&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]">
I will be using 235/35-19 tires
I'm picking them up today will post pics of them in the car later

are you sure it'd be wise to get 19s? i mean if you popped your tires on a pothole ALREADY.. hitting a pothole on 19s will be even more expensive to replace...

Thanks for pointing it out, I thought about it, and Im not all that concern about it, (hitting a pothole), I haven't had any incidents of this kind in about four or five years. I got pushed to the shoulder of the road by another car, it was either hit the pothole or get hit by the car.

As far as prices, at least where I live, the price of OEM wheels and tires is quite a bit more than the 19's, for me it would be cheaper to replace these wheels. The price of the OEM tire by itself would cover the price of the wheel, and the tire would only be a couple hundred more, this of course if the tire and wheel got busted.

Here are the pictures.

I priced wheels and tires as a set, I wanted to get 18's but they didn't have them, someone ordered these 19's and then backed out of the deal, so they let me have them for the same price as the 18's.

Here are the pictures; I still had the four tires in the trunk, so the back looks lower than it actually is.

Looks nice. Do you live in Mexico? The house structure and the two tone painted pole just look too familiar to me.

Not looking for coil overs, if I was I would get teins, but I'm getting the koni shocks.
There is quite a bit of moding, most of it centers in subcompacts, mostly from GM, Ford and VW. There are different meets going on during the weekends and every now and then there are car shows, these groups are composed mainly of people on their late teens and early twenties.
When I first came to Mexico I thought there wasn't much going on for the longest time until I went to a show for the heck of it, I was really surprised at the things they were doing, not really that much different from what goes on in the US, except for the model / brand of the cars.
I dont get involved at all with the scene. The only thing I do every now and then is show my 64 t-bird at classic car exhibitions when the club I belong to gets a request.
