what is the point

...of cutting the bump stops when lowering suspension? Cuz i have my h-techs installed and didn't cut them yet. But my ride height looks fine and i haven't had any problems driving. So whats the purpose?

so your car can have the same suspension travel before it bottoms out. if you go down a dip, your car is gonna bottom out sooner than if you cut em. i think. if i'm wrong, someone correct me

it isn't crucial...honestly....if you are using stock shocks...don't cut that ****...if your shock goes down ALL the way your shock will blow...leave it...but yeah..hammer is right...it's to give it more travel since the ride height is lowered now...that's the main point of cutting them

but once again...stock shocks...don't cut it if you don't wanna jack up your shocks really fast....plus H-tech is such a slight drop you won't have problems bottoming out on them without cutting the bump stops
