Alignment shop F-cked my rims up.

So i was at the shop today getting new tires put on. The shop i go to has all the updated balancing and alignment machinery. So they throw my front rim on the machine to pull of the tire, and the machine they use now doesn't rub the rim, so the rim needs to be secured to the machine, well lets just say they over secured it and cracked the whole inner part of the lugs. To make a bad situation worse for my head, my rims have been discontinued, so the shop couldn't get me a new one. They were the Enkei MMR2's 18"x8 loved those *****es, so now what do i do with 3 rims, well the guys made my life alot easier, they ordered me a free set of rims!! of my choice, i stuck with enkei, not to sure of the model, but the 18"x7.5 a little upset i couldn't find a better match but there pretty nice, ill post pics soon as the rims arrive.

Yeah, what you complaining about, that's the best possible scenario. You can find a used one of your other wheel's if you try I'm sure.

I was at my dealer the other day and I noticed they had a grip of aftermarket sh!t for sale now... one of them were a set of wheels by Enkei which really caught my eye... they were 18x8 and looked really really nice. I tried to remember the model but I ended up forgetting it

they were 5-spoke gunmetal

i had my rims ****ed up and the guy paid me 250 to replace it. ended up repairing it (and other rims that had small bends on the inside) and powdercoating all the wheels for 500.

Yeah i was looking at a whole selection of rims, but i went with enkei again because well they held together really good for the 2 years i had them. I hit alot of pot holes and crap and not one of the bent ever so i was really sure on going with enkei again.

When i looked through the magazines they had i really liked the pkr's and i ordered them, but i went online and the bolt pattern was different, or well it was a 10 bolt with the 2 different sizes, and in the book they had, it was just the 5 bolt one pattern. So i was going to go back and tell them to order a different pair because i kinda dont like the unused bolt slots, they look kinda messy to me, but i figured they already went out of there way and i dont want to make a head ache out of this.

But they ordered them! should be on my car in 2 weeks. The guy told me he was only going to charge me what we originally planned for which was 2 tires mounted and balanced plus an alignment and the switch of factory to after market rims. which was about 200 total.

yeah im extremely grateful they decided to help me out, i mean if they gave me 250 for the broke rim, i would then have 3 unusable rims, so im out a set of rims and i get 250, i would probably have taken a **** on there floor if they did that. And the Enkei mmr2's were already rare when i bought them 2 years ago. So i really dont think we would have found one sitting around somewhere even used.

You really have no idea how badly i want tints, except its a deffinate pull over in my town. I was thinkin about doing the back windows a light if not dark tint.

It's illegal in NJ to have your front windows any tint, but the rears i believe can either go up to 30% or there is no specific tint. But i think it would still look good with a medium tint like 25% on the rear windows, with the fronts tint less, this is something ive really been just holding out on because i dont need to give a cop a reason every time he sees me, to pull me over.

Thnx for your guys approvals on the wheels, i really like them and i think look better then my old mesh ones.

They look good. You know you could always roll down your windows right? If 30 is legal on the back, I would get 35% all the way around and roll down the front windows when cops are around.
