Air ride Teaser

Well my buddy and I had time to work on my accord. Took everything out and ran the wires. We are waiting for the air ride system which will be coming in tomorrow. Here is a little sneak peak.

Are you running air cylinders? If so, dont forget to use a breather on the bottom ports to prevent rocks from entering the cylinder.

I forgot about this thread.
well we are having some issues with the bags. The main problem is the car was slammed before the air ride & with this kit we can't get it close or past how low it was. So in other words its sitting higher than it was. Plus not to mention the front bags are rubbing the insides of the upper control arms & the brackets for it in the front. So we might be sending the kit back & swapping it for Cylinders. Waiting to hear back from USA tomorrow.

DOWN

UP

I went lower after this picture was taken, but you get the idea

Since we have alot of down time, we decided to take advantage & start molding the gauge pod. Here's a couple of pics so far, wont post anymore till the pod is done

Well today we got some of the valves mounted up behind the Rear Bumper. We plan on putting the other set on the bottom of the crash bar. We also made the new trunk floor piece. This new one allows the tank to be sunk into the spare tire well & also allowing it to still be exposed. Getting closer & closer to getting it finished, can't wait for the finale product

Universal Air. I wont tell you how much I paid for it, but I wouldnt buy this kit from them. You will be putting a lot of custom work into your car like I am.

Only one corner. When i get everything right and it rides ok then I will take you for a ride.

We finally got something accomplished

Here's a BEFORE shot on how low the accord would have sat in the rear with the bags

Very depressing...............we know

I said a couple posts back that they sent us lower "ADJUSTABLE" cylinder mounts for the rear, well here they are

Not sure how the bastards are suppose to be adjustable. Tried calling UAS all day today to find out & we said **** it.

Notice that either nut on the 2 mounts are 2 different sizes. The square tubing mount threads on. The other mount has the nut that is 2 small & wont thread. So i hacked the ***** off & welded a new one on
(not shown welded in the pic)

With all that said & done, i got some bolts from work to use to mount the upper plates since they didn't send us any. Installed everything & did a test fit & lets just say....................we are very pleased now

He can still go 2 more inches lower!!!! He will be coming back later to have the rear tubbed. Now hopefully we can get the front to look the same

Not done with the car yet. My buddy went on vacation for a week so there was a little set back.

We just got done with the rear and mounting the valve for the 3 wheel. Waiting for one more part and we will be done with the front. After that we just need to plum all the cylinders.
