Will this offset work fine with 18" rims?

Looking at purchasing a set of 18 x 7.5" rims with a 42 offset.

And I am looking at 225/40/18 for the tires.

Will it work with no rub?

Heythat's the same specs for the TSW Mondello rims I wanted to buy; Les Schwab told me they would fit...but at the same time they wanted my money;
Sorry. I just thought I'd share my "maybe it will, maybe it won't" answer.

Depends on if you're going to drop it or not. Stock ride height they'll be fine, no rubbing, but if you plan on dropping it you'll end up having to roll the rear fenders. Had the same exact spec wheels on my CL and even with H-Techs (only an inch drop) the rear rubbed going over speed bumps or pulling into driveways.

That'll work just fine even with a drop. just don't slamm too low. GO FOR IT!

Um, you're wrong, but whatever. Soon enough he'll find out +42 is too low of an offset with a drop. Good luck.

sure buddy, i have 19x8.5 +45 with a drop.. Offset varies on width and he has a 7.5 width so with that offset he won't have any issues.

I don't know how that works on your car without rubbing unless you have your fenders rolled, especially with a 8.5" wheel, but if you say so.
