19"x8.5" F 19"x9.5" R

Just wondering guys. Have any of you heard of or known anyone who put 9.5" in the rear? I have heard many differing opinions on this . Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

not sure why you would want to go wider in the rear....

I have 19x8.5 +45 offset, lowered 1.5/1.7 with no rubbing issues if that helps. but with 9.5 width, you'll be rolling your fenders hardcore

I wanted to go wider just for looks mostly. I have been told i would need to roll fenders but that is ok with me. Do you have 8.5" all around? thanks for the info.

yes i have 8.5 all around. 235/35, cant run anything bigger without rolling fenders. don't go staggered, imo its a waste of $ and you can't rotate your tires when need be.

I am lowered on Eibach Prokit at the moment about 1.7" in front and 0.7" in the rear from what i am told. supposedly they could settle up to an 1"? The rims i am looking at are AME Shallen SX's front +42 rear +53. that is what the rep. told me. 225/40/19 245/35/19

Don't do it if ur lowered for sure i already tried. i got 9.5 R with 40offset and it was sticking out to much and because i am lower it rubbed. I wanted that look myself but couldn't do it, if you find 9.5 R with an offset of 50 or higher you will be fine. if ur not lowered it will work with a 40 offset but it looks weird with the tires that stick out of the wheelwell i didn;t like that look too much but some people do.

Heres pics of my ride with 9.5 R for you to see
scroll 3/4 down the page look for my screen name

I just saw ur response and if it's +53 rear you might be good to go. got a pic ofthe rim wud luv to see it

thanks nighthawk. i am really torn on the whole staggered thing. like you i am thinking practically and i know staggered isn't the way to go. but it would be so cool though.

since your lowered on prokits. i think it will work. your offsets pretty high too so with the prokit, rolled/cutt fenders, 225-35 tires....should do the trick for the rear.

as for the fronts...same tires.

i say, go for it! i would.

just watch out for potholes.

i think u might rub if u are lowere with a 9.5 setup until and unless u roll them perfectly.. pullin might be required.. it also depends on what tire size u use.

yea they recommend that but u might have to go smaller size in the rear to make it fit.. 245 is kinda big.. might wanna go stretch tires.

i know it will fit but the rolling the fenders and the tire size is the key. may be even camber to go little more low!.. just put some pics of the car and wheels and we can help!

in my opinion i like the wheel it looks pretty nice, i wud love to see it on the car. as for tire size, i say if u go with the 9.5 try the 245. the pic i showed u above with my 9.5 i "TRIED" is was a 40+ offset and the tire i wanted which is on that wheel in the pic is actually 265/30/19. i loved the look but it just was too low a offset i think if i had 50 or higher i cud have pulled it off and had to roll the fender. i got 19X8.5 all around now with 45+ offset and i had to roll my rears only and 235/35/19 all around as well. but it only rubbed when i gave it hard cornering more so on left turns.

Hope this helps.

Good luck brother can't wait to see pics

Just wanted to say thanks guys for all the info and help.I really appreciate it. I will get picks up of my car tomorrow or Saturday. Tried to tonight but it was already dark out. As for the wheels, they would take 2-3 months to come in from Japan if i order them tomorrow.

sometimes i think its a hit or miss concerning what car they can fit on. I have 19x8.5 with a +44 offset on my 6th gen coupe and it has 225/35/19 tires on it. It doesnt rub at all. (though its only me in the car cause i rarely ever have passengers). I haven't rolled my fenders or anything.

Everyone said they wouldnt fit but their flush and dont stick out all. the wheels are in my sig

I have thought about it over the weekend i think i will just go with 8.5" all around. i think 8.5" is wide enough. the practical side of me won.
