Cool My Plasti Dipped Slammed Accord

Hello everyone!

Here is my slammed Accord before the dip:

&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]">

&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]">

After:

&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]">

&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]">

&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]">

&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]">

1.5 gallons of black dip for the base
1 gallon of clear
1 gallon of gloss
4 oz. of Dark Colorona Blue

I wanted a Dark Colorona Blue...don't know what happened lol. The Accord changes color from blue to baby blue to lavender.

Thanks to Dennis and Leroy for helping me out with this project

Cleanly done, what size sprayer did you use?

Also... why the same color?

That color is nice! Good job dude. Did you just want to get rid of the shine in your blue or had you been wanting to try plastidip?

each gallon was about $60 or so

the pigments were less than $20

some places charge $500-$600 to dip a car

Thanks so much for this post I've been thinking about doing this to my car.
Been looking at youtube videos for awhile. What was the total investment for this project include the cost of the gun???

jiga, you could do it yourself. dipping isn't hard at all. unlike real paint, you don't have to worry about dripping and etc. with dipping, all you have to worry is spraying it evenly.

am i correct?

So the DYC sprayer is what again ? I'm going to local Plasti dip store tomorrow to see what they have in red colors...I can't bare these white streaks from the sun on hood, roof & trunk . I really appreciate your post, reassurance for me to plastidip

Can see it from a distance even in nighttime

Looks good man. I did mine matte black little over a month ago using cans with the dip nozzle. Used about 16 cans. I plan to invest in the DYC sprayer system soon.

m0AR pix Danny! Looks great, bud - nice job.

I've been tossing up the idea of dipping mine pearl white for sheitz & giggles but I know white dip is extremely hard to keep clean... sigh

Atlas, the black will be a flat black color, unless you choose to spray over the flat black with their glossifier. Then you can have a gloss finish, but me personally I love the flat black look. If you need any help let me know. I can help assist, as I have done my wheels in flat black and I have some good experience with plasti-dip. Looking good by the way Danny and jiga.
