starting my car wrap

after getting bunch of samples of blue i decided on avery brillian blue mettalic. i wrapped trunk to make sure i like the color. so now i have to order for whole car. another 45ft should do it(really 38 will do but just in case for future so it comes from one role and no chance of color difference from new batch

Ha I actually looked at this exact same color! How hard did you find the process...did you do it solo?

Going to look great, Mike. In for finished pics Until it's finished, people will probably think you're riding around with a replaced trunk lid that never got repainted haha

Good luck Misha. Too bad you aren't doing a matte dark grey from 3m. i have a full car kit that I was planning on doing the, but went the dip route instead. You could have it for a the Avery price, or less.

it will help if you have second pair of hands. my gf helped with hood. holding vinyl while i squeegee out bubbles. process is tricky. its better to stretch it then trying to shrink it. it will shrink after you stretch it unless you heat it to 180, then it will learn new shape, you have to do it on mirrors other wise it will shrink back and you will see it wrinkled up on edges where you trimmed. after trunk i learned that i should have started from bottom of trunk and worked way to front of the car

yeah they probably think that lol. oh well i dont care. color is really nice im happy with it

my g3 doesnt seem to have good color reproduction. not sure if there are settings for color correction on camera.

Looks good so far buddy. Just take it one panel at a time like you are. Can't wait to see the finished product. Remember to seal any edge that is hidden also the primer helps in the contour areas.

3m edge sealer 3950. Im sure something similar will work. Only use it on the hidden areas. 3m 94 primer is the primer i used (leaves residue that will need to be cleaned with spirits when the wrap is removed)

Looks great so far! I'm looking at non-permanent paint options for my accord. Is pricing for wrap comparable to dip?

if you do it yourself its about same id say. dip probably more since you have to get spray gun and stuff
