Hard steering

Vehicle: 2007 Honda Accord Coupe v6

Problem: hard steering during park position and full brake.

Details: So, I have had this issue for a while now where I have a difficult time turning my wheel while I am parking but it only happens while I am stepping on the brake but when I step on the gas it is smooth. I did a test a few days ago where I placed my car in park and just turned the wheel, it was super stiff;however, as soon as I stepped in the gas it was easier to turn the wheel. I raised the car a few days ago and just kept turning the wheel to see if there was bubbles and there was some I've continued to turn the wheel for about 15-30mins and dropped it down and I still had the issue. I also have a whining noise when I first start up my car.

Question: is it the pump? The ring? A bunch of air?

Please help. Thank you.

I changed both rings recently. My noise got worse.

Steering still works perfect but I sound supercharger...not sure if I should replace it or enjoy the funny looks.

No I haven't yet. I wanted to make sure if I should replace the pump also so I can just do it all in one go.

I had the same exact issue with my car and it turned out to be the power steering pump. If you buy a re-manufactured pump make sure its "new." I bought mine from advanced auto.

Check all the lines for leaks. I replaced mine with a 71k miles on the pump and now it's all better.

My pump also seems "sluggish" until I toss a few revs in occasionally. Sounds like what's going on w u. My guess is tired pump
