3.2 TL motor swapped success

I thought I would share this as there was no info to be found apart from in writing with no actual work done.. long story short I blew my motor while on free way. I was revving it up in 4th and it started knocking really bad.
The car had 275000 miles and was supposed to be going up but I guess the engine gave up.
So day one start taking things off and finally the engine came out.. the cherry picker broke so I had to take drastic action with a fork lift😂..
Also found out why I blew the motor. The air intake had a huge hole in the back God knows for how long. Picture attached🤯.. as if I dot have enough problem already..
Got the new motor in from 05 TL and did the rear main seal, cam seal, crank seal, timing belt water pump. Swapped the old manual wiring harness and spark plugs and coils since I knew they were running fine and if the car didn’t crank or started I would not have to go through all the check list.

And she’s is finally ready.cranked it for the first time and it just fired right up. Now all I need to do is swap the TL ecu to get rid of the check engine light. Just got a message from fellow member who have done the swap before me and told me that there’s a pin that needs to be relocated on the ecu specifically gray pin..
Already had the TL ecu ignition key and immobiliser with a lock cylinder..

Tl ecu and immobiliser and ignition and key 150.ebay
100 for engine oil, tranny oil and coolant.
Using old tranny and clutch as I did my clutch a month before the engine blew up..
70 bucks Front mount and both tranny mount as they turned out to be broken..

So anyone contemplating on the swap don’t, just go for it..
the only thing that I used from my old engine was the coolant pipe that goes into the water pump as it is different for the manual and auto and of course the wiring harness..other than that every thing is the same.. I didn’t even had to swap my manifold.

Which injectors did you use? I am contemplating on doing a J35a6, or a J37a2, or a J37a4 swap. From the looks of it, the J32 is the easiest to do as long as it's before the bellhouse change.

I used the injectors that came with the TL motor. you probably going to swap the injectors if you are using the 3.5 or 3.7 plus its not a direct fit. the tl motor is bolt on. i will include the link from a fellow member for the swap info.
