Accord vs Mazda6 vs Altima

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ojv9gLTiYiw

I hope the numbers they posted for the Accord are not true. I dont think they are since they gave the Altima some slow azz times as well. Me gots da thinking they are biased towards Mazda. If this is a repost I apologize, I looked but did not see anything.

i think they're fast for what they're suppose to be. Depends what you consider fast. A lot of people wouldn't consider 13's or even 12's fast. I consider low 13's to be really fast. Especially coming from a high 16's car.

For a 3.7L engine I am actually surprised at how crappy it did. And that was defiantly Mazda biased video but still gave some interesting things.

Being able to take down a 3.5 with cvt trans with a 4 banger at mere 6.7psi from a turbo small as T25 sure sounds good to me

Congrats! But if your point of your car build was to beat a 3.5, that was for all the wrong reasons. That motor isn't be the epitome of speed!

Edmunds has always gotten the slowest times ever posted for the accords. I believe they leave on VSA. Since they get little to no wheelspin and bog off the line. Most magazines got 0-60 in 6.5-6.6 and 1/4 mile in 14.8-15.1 for the new accord 5AT V6 w/VCM. Thats about a half second faster than edmunds times. They were also way off on the 7th gen Auto V6. Trust real world track numbers when people actually run the car. I never trust any mag times. Its just nice to compare to real world numbers.

Nicely put. Mag times are..well, mag times. When drivers take their cars to the track, those are the numbers we should pay more attention to. While driver skill varies, it's better to see real world numbers than to rely on the magazine times.
