Talking AEM Intake & Greddy Evo2

I have the AEM on it's way in the mail and should have the Greddy exhaust in a month I'm having all the work done at Epic Motorsports. in Fayetteville. Once I have the parts installed and ready I'll have a dino test done with the results posted. Hopefully eveyone will have a view of what these cars can do with the first two basic mods done. Oh the car I have is the 2008 Accord v6 the the MT 6-speed.

You're having someone install the intake? C'mon man, buck up

If you're going to dyno, it would probably be best if you did a baseline run (stock) and then did one with the intake/exhaust combo so people could see what types of gains you got. I know it's your coin, but that would be the best way to do it. Good luck!

yes there will be a dyno done before I install both the intake and the exauste. I was thinking of doing a pull on the dyno before and after each mod to see where my gains are and how much.

The reason everything is being done at the shop is because I'll be working there. I'm not paying for the labor.

Sweet, you can't ask for anything better than that dyno wise. I don't know how long it takes the 8th Gen ECU to "learn" about the mods, that's the only issue I can see.

And I was just messin' with you about the install

Definitely keep us updated. I'm gonna guess a baseline around 235ish whp/225wtq and after the 2 mods, 250ish/235. Let us know!

Yesterdays test went great the 2008 accord v6 6mt showed some good numbers 239.5 hp and 224 lb-ft at the wheels with 93 octane. After the mod there was a good increase. 240.3 hp and 233 lb-ft at the wheels. After this we decided to wait till the next mods to continue making pulls.
The mod was a AEM CAI. I'll keep everyone up to date as the mods come in. If anyone puts on mods and they show some good numbers please let me know.

Very interested in this as I have my AEM intake and am waiting for better weather to install. Also, interested in the Greddy Evo2. Keep us posted and lots of pics please. Exhaust is iffy for me right now simply because I haven't liked the look of any of them so far (Magnaflow - haven't see yet, Megan RAcing - Okay, Tanabe - ugly!).

Nice TQ numbers! Your WHP number will increase. Don't forget your ECU doesn't adjust immediately. It will take a little bit of time. Then go back for the dyno!

Thats what the shop told me they said to wait untill i get some more miles on it before I'll get a good show in numbers. P.S. if your installing the intake remember to set aside a couple of hours your going to need them and also the instructions sent with the box suck. Small pictures and no color. The part does sound great and if your aware of your car's driving you can notice an increase in power I know the number from my dyno were off I'm getting that fixed next payday.

That's a freakin' sick torque gain from an intake, and your ECU probably hasn't even fully adjusted to it yet. Wow, nice to know the 8th Gen seems to respond well to mods! Congrats.

Bad news guys I blew out first gear in my car. So I'm getting this fixed before anymore mods. Good news for everyone. Your trans is still under warrenty with the intake installed. My dealership is doing all of my repairs myself. I have a question? Has anyone had problems with there transmissions with the 8th gen 6speed

I was racing when I shifted from first to second as I put the cluch in the shifter was kicked out of gear into neutral. I'm not sure what broke inside but the repair tech at honda said my transmission has something loose inside broken in the gears or something. I'm not a mechanic so I couldn't tell you.
