8th gen vs 370z vs genisis coupe 3.8

which one would you take if you were getting a new car.

i'm not exactly in the market for a new car yet but i am considering it. i want to keep my 7th gen still since the payment will be done in 3 months. i want to keep the 7th gen to mod away while having a new car to drive around as well. it will feel weird not having car payments so i have to get another car lol. i originally wanted s2k but i can't see myself making payments on a used car and i don't have the money to pay it in full so a new car would be the most logical answer.

when the 370z first came out i fell in love with it. the way it looks and stuff. then the features and performance the genisis coupe offers kinda made me look towards the genisis. now looking at some of the 8th gen coupes here and hearing about the performance of the 6speed 8th gen is making me want it.

You've had Honda's for a long time now, Chad. Time to try something new (and most definitely improved over an Accord)....IMO that would be getting the 370z.

that is a tough call, i would say 370z based on the performance/rwd/looks and being that you are in socal you don't have to worry about inclimate weather. Is this the daily driver? I would go 370z all the way. Put a nice exhaust on it and be done. Whatever you get post up pics!

Have you considered the new v6 camaro or mustang. If I was gonna pony up (no pun intended) on a new vehicle in that price range i would go 5.0 mustang all the way. Go test drive one!

or wait a bit and get this bad mofo

get a v6 camaro with 300hp or a v6 mustang and supercharge it for the same price as a new 370z. Or get the 8th gen accord. So many choices man lol. They all are great cars (even the hyundai - but I don't like the looks)

gas mileage is really decent on the new 5.0 with the 6 speed manual. Just use restraint and you will be fine. My friend has the 4.6 mustang (i believe a 2008), drives mainly highway and gets on average 25 mpg

Don't get the 8th gen man. Not only because you've been driving an Accord since you were 12, but because it's another FWD car. If you are gonna keep the Accord and are getting another car for the fun factor, why get another FWD car? I'd go for the 370z.

My boy has a red 6MT and it's SEXY. It sounds ridiculous and it's fast. With just I/E he pulled 1.5~2 cars on me from 10-105, and he's got a solid 100lbs on me. A decent amount of them are in the 12s with minor bolt ons. If you are looking for a fun weekend car, I wouldn't look much further than the 370z. Synchro rev match, RWD, 6MT, 19x10 lightweight RAYS wheels from the factory, great suspension/handling/stance. Come on...

EDIT: The fastest NA 370z has run 12.24 @114. That's on street tires btw

WOW! that is quick for just those mods. Any more info on that? I will be looking for a rwd in the future. Might have to buy a 370z. They do sound absolutely incredible!

Between those three? 370z all the way.

Otherwise I would say get a 5.0 Mustang, or a used E46 M3 (gasp!)

Oh and as for gas mileage... They will all be about the same, including the 8th gen, unless you go 4cyl.

Accord Coupe- 17/26mpg 271hp FWD
Mustang 5.0- 18/25mpg 412hp RWD
370z - 18/26mpg 332hp RWD

Yeah. 8th gen gets ****ty gas mileage compared to 7th gen (21/30mpg). And it's FWD. Some of the reasons I will personally not be sticking with Honda, even though I like their cars.

I/H/E/LW flywheel/Final drive

If I were you I would go test drive all 3. See which one suits you best. If it were me I would probably go with the 8th Gen Accord Coupe 6MT. I don't need RWD and I see 370's and Genesis coupes everywhere. I would think the most rare out of the 3 is the 6MT AV6 Coupe. Plus its a sleeper!

I would say 370z or 8th gen coupe. 370 has good power, alot of aftermarket support and its a very fun car to drive. The 8th gen coupe is nice, and since you already had an accord you are familiar with them. As for the genesis, they are everyyy where! I have only seen 1 370z driving around!

since you have an accord, my vote is for either the genesis or the 370

The only thing about Nissan is I was never really a fan of their interior. The 370z is really no different. But, if it's just gonna be a fun car, then the interior is no big deal. But for the record, the Genesis coupe has a very nice interior...

if i get the 370z then there's nothing really i would do to it in terms of modding for looks. the car looks good off the lot. the wheels are nice and the stance looks good already.

as far as accord or the genesis, drop and wheels are mandatory. its too high and the wheels are whatevers.

If you got the track model Genesis, the wheels are sick! Pretty similar to the 370z w/sport package. Although the 370 will walk a Genesis pretty easily...

370 z all the way! about 330 hp, very light, and rwd. If only having two seats in your car is not a problem 370 all the way. My freind has a genesis coupe, and it is a great car. Very fast it has a nice interior ( the seats are amazing). I would still rather have the 370, but you cant go wrong with any of those cars.
