Reading over the specs of the touring sedan, I'm excited actually.

I'm still not in love with the styling, but the creature comforts for family is great

Also,... I haven't really seen too much about the LED headlights. Does anybody know the color or type of output led headlights produce? Is it better than HID?

the overall styling of the sedan is nice, although it looks like a baby genesis. i saw one at my local dealer last weekend and i liked it. but they should've put hids those projectors and leds in those tail lights.

I have done a little bit of research on the 9th gen Accord, and I especially like how one car magazine articulated what they thought of the handling... They said, "If you've been looking for an Accord that handles like its made of recycled CRX's, this is it".....

The one thing I HATE is that it went to electric steering. Why car companies want to take steering feel out of the driving experience in the name of 1 or 2 MPG is beyond me...

But, I priced a 9th gen sedan in SPORT trim (189hp 4 cyl and 6-speed manual) and $24.5k is not bad for what it seems to offer.

One thing I just read on MotorTrend.com though is pretty interesting.... MT states that the 2013 Accord sedan Sport (4cyl, 6-speed manual) goes from 0-60 in 6.8 seconds!!!!! That is crazy because I clocked my 06 AV6 (automatic) sedan from 0-60 before and the fastest I got at the time was 6.75 seconds!!!

So basically, Honda has found a way to take 189hp and 182Lbft. and make it just as quick as my 7G AV6 with 244hp and 211Lbft!?!? 2013 Honda Accord First Test - Motor Trend

That seems a little far fetched, but if it is at all true, then I don't need the V6 (which is something I never thought I'd say)

Come on guys, there are LEDs in tails on 80% of the line-up. Pay attention please haha

And they went the right way finally! ... no more dual bulbs - cheap choice.

These are the pics from my trip to the dealer today for the 2013 Accord. I thought there is a flare underneath the mirror as a part of the body kit, but it actually the camera for lane-departure warning. Pretty neat, indeed. One more thing, the LED DRL only comes with V6, i4 only has the reflector. Then the whole 9-yard is the Touring.
P.S: The rear actually looks like the Genesis, though.

^ You mean Modulo, right!?
Look at post #4, that's it...or not.

...for Mugen will have to wait 2 more months, also for Inspire to come out in J.

Something tells me Inspire will have PHEV body style.

So I just went to my local Honda dealer and test drove the 2013 Accord sedan Sport. First, I sat in the '13 EXL sedan and the leather is AMAZING... The leather on the new Accord is so soft and supple that it is notably better than the 7th gen and 8th gen.

If I were to get a '13 Accord however, it would have to be the SPORT because I want the 6mt... So I test drove a cream colored SPORT sedan in automatic because they did not have a 6mt on the lot. First off, the SPORT does not come with leather (big bummer) and it does not have the LED DRLs... It does however come with dual exhaust (the only 4cyl that does) and 18" wheels.

Also the SPORT has turn-key ignition (something I like better than pushbutton). For a 4 cyl it is pretty peppy. I can only imagine that the 6mt would be alot more responsive. One thing that was pretty cool about the CVT is that it acts like an automatic. In regular DRIVE, when just driving normally, it simulated shifts. When I pushed the pedal down for added acceleration, it simulated downshifts like a conventional automatic.

The steering, as I suspected is absolutely DEAD feeling. It does point the car in the direction you are trying to go, but it is very very light and you can feel absolutely nothing whatsoever! Really sucks! But the body control is good, and you can't feel a single bump in the road.

A few low points in the SPORT: The SPORT comes with halogen tail lights, and the higher models come with LED tails.... Also the horn sounds like the Roadrunner... GONE are the healthy sounding horns, at least in the SPORT....

Also, the SPORT only comes with 4 speakers and the sound system is kinda inadequate... The EXL sounds better....

Would I get one, ehhhh, I'm not sure about that one yet... The horn, tails (which isn't a very big deal but I'd swap them out later on for the LED ones), lack of leather and sunroof (pretty significant con) and numb, dead steering (the BIGGEST con!) make it hard to say just yet. The cons associated with this vehicle make my 06 feel just as significant, if not more significant of a vehicle.

On a sidenote, after I test drove the '13 Accord, I test drove a '10 Maxima SV and the Maxima had a much better steering and road feel. Apples and Oranges I know, but I'm just throwing that in there as a frame of reference as to which car seems to suit me more.... Drive-wise

i saw one today on the road and i definitely see the potential show stopper in the sedan. i could easily picture it dumped on the ground with a mild kit, and it'd look amazing. cant wait to see what people do with them.

I have had a Infiniti M37 and G37S since my 05 as well as a jeep. My 05 was pretty modified and this is just something new to ride around in. Not much of a comparison brother.
