Question intermittent delay

hi there guys, i have a honda accord 2013 4cl, the milage is about 160k,
just recently i have realized that my car started this odd behaviour after driving for hour or so that it would do intermittent 1 sec. delay on accelerating after coming to a rolling stop?
i thought might be bad plugs changed em, no joy.
i do oil change on time, everything on time,
only thing i haven't with the car is time chain adjustment,
my mechanic said if she is not giving u problem leave the timing chain as is.but that was when didn't show any sign of this lag after rolling stop...
can anybody tell me whats going on with my car please.???

Does it definitely feel like an engine issue? It could be your transmission if you have the CVT. Pulley slippage possibly

hi gaza, thanks for reply,
yeah man, not sure what it is,
it will show signs of intermittent delay like 1 sec after about continuous good 2 plus hour of riding on rollover to stop and go kind of riding, really frustrated, and honestly don't trust honda mechanics here, they are very commercial in terms of helping u finding solution to problems like this.
good point on transmission, it is 2 speed cvt,
i will check with my mechanic see what he says about it.
