The center is a 3"inches for the opening and the overall length is 7 inches. To answer the question yes it will fit the aem intake and any other 3 inch intake. If somebody is interested in a pic give me your email address via pm and I will take a picture and email it to you.

No thats total from filter top to coupler bottom.......sorry if I was confusing anybody. The overall length I should say is 7 inches, the circumference of the coupler that goes on the end of the intake tube is 3 inches and the filter length itself is 5 inches. FYI the filter size can be changed out, perfect example is different aftermarket companies using different size filters on there setup. So yes it could be a different size cone that is on your car, but could it fit? Absolutely yes. Regardless the thing to look for is if the thing will fit on the end of your intake piping, so if you have a three inch piping it will fit.....if it is not 3 inches than no it will not fit.
