Yea I kinda chuckled when I saw this one posted today, seeing as how the new one was announced yesterday for launch on July 11.
The problem though is that you cannot get a new one without activation directly in store, or you will be paying a "penalty". no idea what the penalty is though.

unlocked iphones will work ONLY with GSM carriers (att, tmobile and any other carrier that uses sim card, excluding nextel)

this phone wont work on sprint or verizon since they are CDMA and not GSM.

anyways great phone and great deal!!

just to clear things up...
the newer iphone is cheaper in quality, plastic parts.. more prone to scratches
internet plan will be more expensive with the 3g, 30 rather than the usual 20 (so for a 2yr contract, 24mo+10 more a month makes the phone 200+240=440 without tax)
this is unlocked, so any sim card carriers, or gsm users will also be able to use this phone
jailbroken, so you can add 3rd party apps for free.

apple is smart, they made it 200 but in the long run u will pay more. the only thing difference between the two phones will be the 3g, where as this iphone can do everything the newer one can with 3rd party apps(jailbroken).

yea the only dif is 3g, which IMO i will be trading mine in sometime for the new one. also if you have the 2g you can get the 2.0 firmware update, which is pretty cool with apps and a bunch of other things for free. so... but bump for you

bumps . the 3g iphone requires in-store activation. so yeah its cheaper, but you're going to be stuck with 2 year att contract.
