2nd Gen CL Type S Part out thread

Hey all,

Moving on from the CL to the SC400 modifying game, so need to start strippin' the car

Most of the parts are all ready off the car and ready to go, but due to the large number of parts being sold, I ask that I get a little patience, especially if there is a demand for shipping

Ideally am looking for LOCAL SALES, if you want anything shipped, it will be at buyer's expense, but as is with the used parts game, we can talk and deal it out.

I will honor dibs for the most part, but money talks, and I will give priority to local buyers and higher offers.

All sales are final.

EVERYTHING IS OBO UNLESS INDICATED OTHERWISE

I'll post pictures up this weekend, but for now, working on getting the parts up and in everyone's minds.

The Parts:

Appearance:

1. Aegean Blue Pearl Bumper with Custom Molded '03 TL Lip $400 +stock bumper FIRM

Custom molded and sits at an angle to give an aggressive look without looking droopy like most molded kits end up looking, and I must say the molding is SOLID. I've had two moments where I scraped the underside at 50+mph with absolutely no cracking. There is a blemish that is pictured here but the pretty photography doesn't really show it =/.

Damage shown here (but like i said, not very extensively shown), from what I know, picture has not been PS'd

2. '03 Headlights $250
9.5/10

3. '03 Taillights SOLD
Custom tinted white portion, most likely unable to find the tint anymore (originally bought from an original acurazine vendor). Very rare
*See picture at very bottom*

4. Chrome License Plate Holder SOLD
Polished chrome with Acura 3.2CL Type-S in white lettering
*see picture at very bottom of post* (will get better pictures later)

5. '03 Fog Lamp Fairings $20
Painted gloss black and dremeled with custom molded mesh grating to allow air into CAI portion of car

6. M5 Lip Spoiler $50
It is not the OEM but a replica, however the bending has all ready been done and fits PERFECTLY onto the CL. Is in ABP but the underside needs to be re-painted (was supposed to get it re-shot but got lazy)

7. Acura Emblem custom painted ABP and blue grill surround, if you see the head on shot, the grill has been customized to get rid of those supporting beams. Looks VERY clean. Asking $50 for both + stock parts,
Separate: $25 + stock wing replacement on the emblem and
$20 + stock chrome grill surround for the grill surround

8. Mudguards $40
Alittle dirty, but I believe everything is all there, will wash before I send 'em out

PERFORMANCE

1. Comptech Icebox $130
Includes a fastening ring that I picked up from Home Depot to keep the "horn" in place.

2. Comptech Headers SOLD
Haven't checked them since they been on the car, but from what I know, NO resonance. QUALITY stuff. Will check bottom if there's any scrapes or dents, keep posted

3. Comptech Axleback mufflers SOLD
Will shine these puppies up before I send 'em out. Good condition

4. Comptech Axleback silencer tips ($40)
Includes the screws and stuff you will need. ULTRA RARE PART. Trying to get one at this point for new would be damn near impossible and run you 70ish (from what I know)

5. Comptech B-Pipe $400
Again, an ultra rare part, would prefer not to ship

6. AEM Cold Air Intake (Red) $50
Will provide 2 filters, no mounting hardware and hoses (lost them in an apartment move)

Suspension and Handling

1. Eibach Front Sway bar $70

2. Ingalls Front Control Arms and camber correction plate SOLD
Normally will run you $220+ on ebay, if you are tired of hearing your SPC's crashing into your car, these are for you. They sit much much lower (from what I remember seeing about 2" lower than stock control arms + aftermarket ball joint)

I believe adjustment is -2.5 degrees to +1.5 A MUST HAVE if you want to correct camber on very low car, and even better if you want to run an aggressive wheel set up.

I got a little bit of knocking on sharp dips but never had time to check if it was an installation issue. The car handled just fine, and any noise was 800 times better than the spine shattering crashing you would get from the SPC's. Made less noise when I was back on stock wheels/tires instead of 19's.

Ideal set up if you roll OEM sized wheels but are rolling low and slick

3. SPC Rear Camber Kit SOLD
Served faithfully for about 30,000 miles, no squeaking, no rattling, no drama.

4. Falken FK452 225/35/19 $420
Rolled on for 2 months ~ 1,000 miles. These are FANTASTIC tires. Will be getting this brand, but wider for my next car for sure

Here's a really large rear shot of the car (so you can somewhat see the tail-lights, comptech mufflers, and license plate bracket

I live and work out of the Los Angeles area, but make frequent trips to SD.

The car right now is in SD and I will be going down this weekend to do a bunch of work and remove the rest of the parts.

Stevo, I'm not 100% sure, but I'm assuming it should work. Don't quote me on that though and you might want to double check.

Phone # is 858.449.9557 though if you're still interested

from what i know, the sway bar is heavier than CL-Type S (OEM), the difference is supposed to be marginal on its own, but I'm thinking if you have more suspension mods, it adds up for an overall better and more responsive feel.

The front bar actually never went on my car (too lazy to install), so the rear felt tighter than the front; i'm sure the front sway and a strut would have corrected this feeling.

local by any chance?

u mean that loud bang that sounds like your rim just hit a 6 foot pot hole?

ingalls corrected that.

i got a little bit of squeaking/knocking for a few weeks, but it was pretty much non-existent/negligible after awhile (probably the bushings being broken in)
