FS: 03-07 Auto Day/Night Mirror

hey everybody... i know i've been away for like.. ever, but i'm not dead, i swear lol

a buddy of mine who had a nice 7gen recently totaled it in a highway hydroplane. There wasn't much we could recover, but he did manager to snag the mirror. He couldn't uninstall the wiring, so that is unfortunately not included, but you can buy that separately for pretty cheap.

MSRP is $290.75, it doesn't seem to be listed on HandA anymore but I know that this is attainable at $190 as a full kit, $150 for just the mirror. If you've never had something like this, it's a huge deal. I have one, and I'll tell you, I will never go back to a standard mirror after getting used to this. The mirror works like new and is in new condition, but its just missing the wiring. So how about $100.00 shipped? That sounds fair to me.. and my buddy agrees (he gets the $, so idc)

If you want, you can contact me privately outside the forum at [email protected], otherwise, post or pm.

Thanks for looking!

Shawn

For an FYI,
The part number for the auto day/ night mirror is 08V03-SDA-100B.

The attachment kit that is not included in this sale is:
P/N 08V03-SDA-101A
EX Models:
Short upper mirror cover, Short lower mirror cover, Mirror harness
LX Coupe without moonroof Models:
Long upper mirror cover, Long lower mirror cover, Mirror harness

It looks like it is for power and compass direction. It shows the price is only around $25 for the attachment kit. This is a good deal!

so ex alraedy has day/night wire harness installed? you just need that small wire to go between mirror and harness itself?

by this do you mean that the covers aren't a necessity? if so, this is true- the two covers are merely cosmetic...

the "harness" is the wire. ex's don't come with the auto day/night mirror harness already installed... you will need the harness for all models if you want this mirror to work to capacity. All you gotta do is take out the sunglass/ dome light covers to expose the roof console. Inside there is the vehicle connector. Simply plug the harness into that and the dimming function and compass will work

i apologize for any confusion here.
otsb708 was pointing out that you only NEED the wiring harness to get the mirror's dimming feature and compass to work. The covers just hide the wire and make it all look nice and clean, but are not necessary for the practical function of the dimming or compass.

just to be a bit of a salesman for a minute, i'll tell ya, this will be (one of) your favorite modifications by far. and i know people who have this will attest to that. no longer will douches behind you with highbeams, hid's, or just bright lights bother you at all, no longer will you be distracted from what's in front of you by what's behind you. no more squinting, no more mirror adjusting, no more glare. it's also nice to know what magnetic direction you're going in, even if you've got a navi. basically, unless you got one of these luxury bad boys to spoil your eyes, you really cant say your accord's got all the bells and whistles

I'm sorry for the confusion guys, I forgot about those covers because they are just cosmetic but I would get those also. When you buy the attachment kit those covers come with it.

The wire harness is all you need to make it work...

if you got an 03 ex then your manual is the second link that says "2003 Accord" under Application. i was under the impression that the wire was in the roof already. my bad. i had the stealership do mine and it took them way less than an hour, and i have an 04 ex coupe... i dunno. if thats the trouble its gonna take, ill be honest- unless you got the time or the money to pay a garage to do the install, its still worthit!! ha ha im serious, i would take a saturday to give myself the time to be confused here and there. but looking at the long instructions, it still doesnt look difficult or technical, just a little more time consuming.

This would be interesting to retrofit on a 6thgen, I imagine it only needs 12v to run the day night thing...
