J32 part-out

Like the title states, I've got my original j32 build for sale or part-out, whichever seems to get more attention. Pics will be up this weekend.

j32a2 stock intake plenums 40

SOLD:
j32a2 cl type-S intake manifold SOLD
j32a2 cl type-s injectors NO O-RINGS SOLD
j32a2 intake runners SOLD
j32a1 tl block/rotating assembly, 2nd gen SOLD
j35a4 oddy heads/valves/cams: SOLD
j32a2 cl type-S throttle body SOLD
j32a2 cl type-S fuel rail/injectors SOLD
j32a2 AT ecu: SOLD

If I buy the J35A4 heads off you can you send them to NVA-AV6?
What would the shipping cost?

Bump for a awesome seller.

Thanks for helping me complete my parts list for the Intake manifold swap MONEYPIT!!!

Someone grab the I/M and lower runners, that's a great price for those items.

pics below of the j32a1 setup. it is aesthetically the same as the j32a2, but has different dimensions. the plenums are not interchangeable between the two, as the lengths/depths/widths/hole patterns differ

hmm, thanks for the quick reply with pictures!

How does the performance difference compare with putting on these parts on a J30 versus using j32a2 manifold, runners, and throttle body?

wikipedia states:

The J32 displaces 3.2 L (≈195 cu in) and is a SOHC VTEC design. Bore is 89 mm (3.5 in) and stroke is 86 mm (3.4 in). Output was 225 hp (168 kW) for the J32A1, with the J32A2 raising output to 260 hp (194 kW) @ 6200 rpm and 232 lbft (315 Nm) @ 3500-5500 rpm. A more aggressive camshaft, freer flowing intake/exhaust, and a 2-stage intake manifold all result in a 35 hp (26 kW) increase over the J32A1.

so this one is not a "two stage manifold?" I am considering buying your items, along with type S cams (from someone else) and injectors. the excerpt says that the gains over the type S over the j32a1 were from the cams, intake, exhaust, and manifold. Considering the intake and exhaust i'd be using are aftermarket and i want to get the type S cams, would using the j32a1 parts you are selling get me somewhat close to 250 engine horsepower (not at the wheels)? i understand type S is rated at 260 but since i wouldnt be using its improved manifold thats why i said 250. also i wouldn't be using its heads, so maybe 240? your input would be greatly appreciated.

the inner diameter of the runners/tb on the j32a1 are all the same as the j30a1, so there's no real performance gain to be had by swapping this im/runner/tb combo (other than the increased intake volume over the j30a1, which would be a negligible gain). it is a two stage intake, but does not have a butterfly valve as seen on the j32a2 (which is another small contributor to the +35hp over the j32a1). so yes, wiki is correct in that the +35hp comes from the more aggressive cam, increased head/exhaust/tb/im/runner port diameter, and butterfly valve, but no, putting the j32a1 stuff on your j30 wouldn't get you anywhere near that 35hp difference

Well, just to clarify, the 35 hp difference is between the 225 hp j32a1 and the 260 hp j32a2.

I was hoping that using the j32a1 mani/runners/throttle body would help remove the 25 hp difference between the j30a1's 200hp and the j32a1's 225 hp.

Then i was hoping that from there, using type S cams, aftermarket intake, exhaust, and larger injectors (maybe from S2k), would take me from something similar to j32a1 to something similar to Type S (but less, considering i won't be using type s manifold or heads).

Does that make sense?

also, how do people adapt for swapping the type S manifold and its butterfly valve? i read in one 02AV6's sticky that a window servo has to be used or something? wtf? sounds tricky..

lol, yes i'm aware that the 35hp diff is between the j32's, but i was attempting to answer this question

the 25hp difference from the j30a1 and j32a1 is mainly a result of the increased displacement. the intake manifold/cam play a very negligible part in that figure...

i know there have been a few different attempts to get the butterfly valve to work w/o running a type s ecu, but i'm not sure of their successes. shouldn't be that difficult to work-out though, you could probably use a tps or something for the signal
