FS - JDM/UKDM/USDM ITR/EP3/S2K steering wheel

Thinking of selling my current steering wheel, in favour of an upgrade. I've had this for a little over a year now and gone through many MANY steering wheel setups (S2000, RSX, DC5, EP3, TL-S, just to name a few. =P )

The wheel started off as an JDM Integra Type-R steering wheel complete with single-stage airbag but since the outer edge of the steering wheel was scuffed a bit (I'm anal about anything and everything that touches my car), I sold the outer portion and picked up a mint UKDM Civic Type-R EP3 outer wheel. But then I wasn't satisfied because it had no cruise, so I grabbed the back of an USDM S2000 wheel and the cruise control unit from it so I can have cruise control again.

This was the result.

I'm asking $440 USD shipped Paypal fees included to anywhere in North America for this unique setup. Think it's too much? You try putting something like this together. I'm not in a hurry to sell as it is still one of my favourite steering wheel combos. (I have owned about 6 to date, I think).

I'm open to trades for the following:
Works Bell Rapfix GTC
Works Bell Standard Hub
OMP Corsica

SOLD

I love all the red stitching.

i was thinking of buying an S2k wheel off of someone i know, can you post a pic of how it looked when you had the s2k wheel installed? also, being that you have a post 2000 av6 (i'm assuming this because your needles are red), how did you get it to work with a single stage airbag?

See why I wasn't feeling the S2k wheel? The old-school logo just isn't for me.

Ahhhh that's better.

Good luck finding an S2k wheel/airbag combo, much less an intact airbag alone. I've seen the airbag go for $300 USD on s2ki.

I have a 1998 Accord 4cyl. My needles aren't red, it's photoshopped. =)

okay, i agree it doesn't look the best..but the guy was selling the full wheel and airbag for 150! however, would you recommend an RSX one? it looks like yours except has the acura badge on it..would that be in poor taste? i can get one for about 200 total.

Yes it would be in poor taste.

Civic SiR EP3 seats. They are now replaced with Bride Gias and Zeta III.

Thanks for the comments guys, if you have further questions about my interior, please PM me. Let's keep this thread more sales-oriented, yeah?

How does this compare in size to the OEM accord steering wheel? Is it still installed on your car, or can you take more pictures of the setup?

Wait so I thought the only steering wheels we could swap into our accords were the 1999-2003 Acura CLS/TLS steering wheels? Have I been lied to?

Yeah I think I wrote the guide too...

The steering wheel is anatomically the same as the RSX wheel, which is the same as the EP3 wheel, which is the same as the S2000 wheel. The only differences lies in the stitching, or the style of leather used (perforated vs. plain).
It is noticeably smaller in diameter than the stock Accord and TL wheels.

Buy my wheel so I can get my new setup! (=
The steering wheel is still on my car.

Do you know off the top of your head the sizes of the s2k/ep2/rsx/etc. wheel and accord wheel? If not, it's okay...I can do some research and find those measurements. I'm just curious, it doesn't really affect my desire for your setup.

Is your setup plug & play, does anything need to be modified to work with our accords?

Want a deposit now, or would you rather wait till I can pay in full later in the week?

Stock 1999 Accord wheel is approx. 14.75".

Steverino's should be around the same diameter as mine, approx. 14.5" or within a good +/- 0.25".

I can measure it for you tonight. You want the OD right?
Oh I should mention that the wheel feels..."girthier" than the Accord wheel, so it's good if you have big hands like me. My hands used to cramp up on long drives with the Accord wheel. =P
You may want to check whether you have a single or dual-stage airbag, pry the cover from the bottom of your steering wheel and check whether you have 2 or 4 yellow wires. Cruise is plug-and-play. I'll post up my findings tonight, please do likewise.

Yeah, the OD is fine...just curious really. I hate how big the Accord steering wheel is, and noticed in my girlfriend's RX-8 her steering wheel is the perfect size (smaller diameter, but thicker steering wheel for a more comfortable grip). It's been awhile since I've driven an s2000 so I can't remember how big or small that wheel was. No biggie.

I'll check the single/dual airbag issue this morning and report back. Thanks Steve.

Just checked my airbag and it appears that I have 2 red wires coming out of the center connecting to a green plug.

Odd. I have 2 yellow wires to a yellow plug. But as long as you have 2, instead of 4, you're golden.

Let you know about the OD tonight.

Yeah, I found an old pic the other Steve took and my setup looks identical (except the color of the plugs):

I also checked the OD of my steering wheel, and it's very close to being 15"...definitely more than 14.75".

PM me your PayPal address, I can send the money over if you think we've gotten everything covered as far as compatibility. I believe we both have 1998 Honda Accords with I4s, so I don't see why I would run into any problems as we're working with essentially the same car.
