Honestly, I don't want to do this, but I guess it seems necessary right now.
It'll include all the parts, I guess if you guys need the FIC and all that, I'll be selling it separately or together (cheaper). It's TESTING WATERS for right now because I don't know what will happen in the next month or so. I'm looking at the ballpark of 2,500 obo with AEM FIC & Defi Boost Gauge, Customed AEM V2, and whatever else I can think of. CL-S HBP, CL-S Pulley, 10 LBS pulley. ![]()

I would tear the engine down and find out where the shaving is coming from. something is either one not getting lubrication properly and eating itself up, engine not assembled properly, or misfires, predetonation, knocking which you should have experienced already... this is not your first engine, so I'm going to automatically assume poor assembly/lubrication, or a bad engine to begin with. If it's the tune, than you should have already knocked plenty of times to know that's what it is. |

it's not like we teared the engine down to the block, we just replaced timing belt, fluids, water pump, belts.. and tossed it in.. but it's the same problem.

There's almost zero chance he got three bad motors to start with. Steve and I went through his setup yesterday through PM, he's basically running stock injectors with the FIC zero'd in every field, and he's not monitoring knock. Other than no tune/knock monitor, it sounds like he's got all the right moves with his setup. And he's got the criteria for a pretty lean condition as well, and the fuel system/FIC are the only things that have NOT been a variable for the cato of the three different motors. I agree he needs to find the source of the breakdown though. Steve, like I said, you're gonna pull your pan before shelling out the $$ for the tune, yeah? You could be wasting your time and $$ on the tune depending on what the motor looks like inside. |
