Because they're not locks! Anyone can just take them off with a lug wrench!

You live in NY, you should know that whether lug nuts have locks or not is irrelevant. Lug nuts only offer so much protection from theft, if a thief wants your wheels and the lugs that go with them, he'll get them.

Ok, but more than a few will pass up a set with locks and go with something easier with out locks... so....

And your comment goes with everythng, not just cars or wheels or lugs... If a theif really wants whats yours, in due time they'll get it. Its a matter of slowing them down! So alpha locks, alarms, Low Jack, Foot Clubs, etc. Are not Anti Thef systems. Prevention is!

Maybe I'm missing something, but the rays lugs look as if they can be taken off with a lug wrench. Where is the special pattern for the key? They all look like regular nuts to me.

4 out of 20 (1 per wheel) have a slit in it for the key to fit... barely noticeable
