custom garmin housing

testing the waters:

anyone interested in my navi setup? its sleek and i guarantee its a navi theft deterant. looking to get 200 for the housing and the garmin navi(nuvi 265wt)

That's pretty awesome, but it looks like it is in rough shape. Is the gps removeable?

yeah the housing needs a minor touch up. ive had it for 2 years now. and yes, the navi can be removed if you dont want to use the housing. 200 or best offer. also, the power plug has been modified so its hot wired to a 12v supply, so when i turn the ignition on and off, it does it as well

GLWS That is a nice looking alternative to sticking it on the window. And having a aftermarket one that sits Low in the cubby.

thanks. yeah i built this because i hate seeing navi's suctioned to the windshield and also giving theives a reason to break the window. with this, the navi looks oem at the very least. ive gotten many compliments but since this was my first build, it has a simple and plain design.

yes, the navi is included and yes it is still loud regardless of it being housed in. no on the shipping. i need a local transaction because i need to swap dash/vent panels.

looks pretty good. have you ever had any problems with receiving satellite since it kinda doesnt have a clear view with the top of that housing blocking it

been using it for 2 years with no problem. its accurate and its fast when it comes to re-routing. buyers can try it out first...we'll take my car for a spin and see if the satellite signal is fast enough for you
