7th gen Morimoto Mini H1 retrofit

*** PRICE with just headlights and bulbs: $400+shipping
***

I am selling my MH1 retrofit that I made in December of 2010. They are in OEM headlights from my 06 AV6.

I have had this setup for something like 25k miles.

The retrofit comes with XB35 4300k H1 bulbs from TheRetrofitSource, and Nokya 2500k Hyper yellow 9005 high beam bulbs.

The good:
-The projectors are aligned properly and the bulbs have worked with no problems at all since I bought them.

-The lights outperform many OEM headlight setups and offer exceptional lighting on the road.

-If you hook up the solenoid wires to your OEM 9005 harness wire (You have to splice), you can have 4 high beams... You would have your 9005 highs, and both bi-xenon highs all at once.

The bad:
-The passenger side projector's solenoid sticks sometimes when flipping from high beam to low beam, etc.

-The driver side headlight accumulates slight condensation in the high beam area of the lense ever so often when you powerwash it (I wash the car in DIY carwashes that use powerwash hoses). This happens because the driver's side headlight needs to be heated up again and new butyl needs to be applied where some of the original silicone I used is. It doesn't happen all the time, however it should be addressed if you want a 100% condensation free setup.

-The lenses are not 100%, they have a couple chips, and one or tow (literally) minor surface swirl/scratches on the inside of the lenses because when I did the retro, I was wiping the hell out of them to get all the dust/dirt off the lenses and may have wiped one too many times. However, it is barely noticeable and the lenses have absolutely NO haze and look crystal clear unless you are up close and looking for said scratches.

On to the pics (they are all cell phone pics):

(the one below is showing the HID beam on the ground -white light- and the high beam -yellow-)

Here are two vids (taken with cell phone camera again):

This one shows the low beam and high beam (you can see the projector high beam as well as the yellow from the halogen highs on the wall). Also, look off at the reflectors in the distance to see the distance lighting:

This one just shows a little bit of open roadage It really is meant to show how well the lights illuminate road signs (notice sign on right)... It doesn't show distance though because my cellphone cam is a measily 3megapixel cameara:

Lol thanks. I gotta support Lupe Fiasco. He is one of the very very few that actually talks about things that have meaning and he tries to educate and wake people up.

I'm going to go in one of two directions. One would be buying one that someone else has already and is selling which would be something like maybe FX-R or S2K... But if that doesn't work out, I'll just get the new MH1 (4.1) and blackhouse the headlights and do it myself again, maybe with different shrouds this time also.

I generally like to do things myself rather than buy someone else's work, but cutting and aiming and all of that just isn't in me right now. If I'm going to have a retro with anything more than a MH1 right now, it will be second hand

Bump... I forgot I had this thread up here...

NEW PRICES..... $375 picked up, or $375+shipping (would MUCH rather sell locally)! The prices are firm, and the deal is oh so sweet!

***I am no longer selling the ballasts or any harnesses. I'm just selling the actual headlights and bulbs.***

Happy buying!

Nah, they are good projectors. I just want to redo everything. I want to get new headlights, new/different shrouds, new MH1s and mod them a little... Since this was my first retro, going into the second one, I'll do a couple extra things here and there... That's all

No. The lights are currently on the car. The back looks like any other 7th gen headlight back. What are you looking for exactly?
