custom garmin navi housing center dash panel

Just took this off today and putting it up for cheap if anyone wants it. $60 local pick up or $80 shipped. Yes, the Garmin NUVI 265wt is included. Just need to tap it to a switched 12v supply and it will turn on and off with the ignition. The housing is a bit cracked on the top front edge but can be easily fixed if u know how to work with bondo. I'm selling it for pretty much just the navi...housing itself is practically free.

how much would you charge to fix the crack before sale? I've got no clue how to use bondo or anything like that.

I made it...it was my first custom interior mod on my car 4 years ago. its made out of plastic, fiberglass, and bondo. it was a just a quick little project I did so its not perfect or professional.

I really don't have time now to fix it..I have a really busy schedule and I just have to sell this as is. Its cheap enough being a custom part that just needs a touch up.

The way I had my navi hooked up is through my cig lighter...its tapped to its +/- wires so it automatically turns on and off with the ignition. I did it this way so I can still use both cigarette lighters for mine and my wife phone chargers.

trust me on this one, when its plugged in (charge mode) it turns on and off automatically. when you turn your key, it turns on...when you turn off the ignition, it gives you an option on the screen asking if u want to "stay on using battery or completely turning off"

I was thinkin about this then realized the audio would still come out the device rather than the stereo. But still the price for such a nice piece when all you really have to do is just paint over the lil flaws THAT'S A STEAL!!!

The audio can be streamed via built-in fm transmitter....that's how I have it set. U can pick your own station too. But most of the time, I only need visual help...not audible.

What specific paint did you use? Does it match the OEM plastic well?

I forgot the brand, but its a texture paint so it matches the rest of the dash. I got it from Lowe's. Satin or flat black I believe is the color and its a very slight shade off...others couldn't even tell the difference unless I point it out.
