98 coupe door lock actuator needed

went to honda today becuase my remote wont lock my doors anymore, the lights blink and the horn honks but the doors still dont lock, they say i need a new actuator in my drivers side door,if anybody knows what im talkin about, tell me where i can buy one cuz honda said it was like $160 installed and i was like, which i think is a total rip off. it cant cost that much, i will just keep manually locking my door if thats the case.

damn 160!! haha go to www.hparts.com and request the part number. i forgot what it was though.. i replaced mine recently. cost me about 38 bucks shipped and 30mins of work. the actuator to me, basically looks like a lil 12volt motor incased in the plastic thing.

i found some stuff on ebay that says its an actuator and looks like a lil motor incased in plastic, its only $2.50, could this be it, seems unlikely cuz of how cheap it is. anyone know?

an actuator is an actuator. it's a motor. if you don't have power locks, you can put any generic one on there. difference with the cheap one is it's much stronger and more intentional a pulse, instead of the soft feeling you're used to when the lock opens and closes.
