FS: My Car

I've decided it's time to move on to something different. If I invest another $20-25k into my car I still don't think I'll be satisfied with it. I want something newer, faster, and with more aftermarket parts availability...something like a Mazda RX-8.

The car is a 1998 Honda Accord LX Coupe 4 cylinder in mint condition (clean title, and it's driven once or twice a week) and it has just over 63k miles that are mostly highway miles from commuting back & forth to Tampa for college.

I don't have a set price in mind yet, I'll probably be looking for something between $15-20k.

I'll be including everything I have with it, and I doubt I'll be parting it out because I just want to move on to my next project.

Any questions just e-mail me at [email protected]

Thanks,
Brad

Nope I couldn't stand having an automatic transmission, so the I4 was the right choice at the time.

you have a nice car. hate to see you move on from the accords. it's a nice car on the side, but not ideal for speed hungry drivers =P

I'd rather sell the car as a whole, but if I can't find a buyer within a few weeks after putting my car on eBay then I'll consider parting it out.

I would prefer not to part it out. Parting a car out takes longer & even if I do end up making a few hundred extra I would rather save time & start my next project.

There aren't any "dibs" on my parts.

If you're not interested in purchasing the car, that's fine...I have no problem with that, but please don't jack my thread over what you want from my car.

hi, I hate to burst your bubble.. modded car yah know.. gotta be worth something.. I just kbb'ed it.. 8100$, thats pretty good considering its 6 years old, 4cyl, manual.

15-20k for it though? You want double the value of it because you modded it?

IMO, you would probably make more money on the car if you parted it out. Because there arent many people naive enough to pay more then blue book value for the car. If you dump the rims alone, you would make 1000$ easily. Hell you just went from 8100 ---> 9100$ ..

Goodluck, its a honda.. its one hell of a car, and you will miss it alot

You're not bursting my bubble at all. I realize the KBB value on my car. Mods in some cases decrease the value of your car, such as when trading a car in at a dealership, but in today's world there are always people looking for fixed-up cars that are willing to pay decent money for them. $7-8k on top of its loan value isn't a ridiculous amount to ask for when I've added $23k+ into the car in mods alone.

I understand what you're saying, but I'm sure someone will appreciate my car enough to pay what I'm asking for it. Thanks though.

I think if that were my car.. after spending so much money on it.. I would probably spend another 5-6 grand on it, fmax turbo kit for the f23, new internals so it can handle the turbo, and last a new clutch. It would be a straight up show car, with the power to back it up. After all that work.. you could definatly win some stuff with it. Also there arent that many people with turbo accords, thats sexy.

hey brad...are you still going to sell your stock trunk lid?? I need it bad man I just ordered my new spoiler and im anxious to put it on but i need a new trunk lid first. I can pay you for it right away. Let me know.

Oh BTW did you ever get into Team ECI?? and the more and more I look at your ride the more i love it. If i had to do my car over this is what I would want it to look like, besides the interior .
