J32a3 heads

for sale is a set of J32a3 heads off a vehicle with 96k miles. I dont know much more than that because i pulled them to replace them with RL heads on my J36 build. price is $200+ shipping, heads are complete minus valve covers which I will be reusing on my build.

Do you know if they're off of a auto or manual car? Do they bolt up to a J30 without modification?

doesnt matter if its an auto or manual, but what does matter is that the j32a3 heads have a cylinder bore of 89mm, while the j30a4/5 has 86mm...

They will bolt up without modification to my knowledge the only difference is the bore size as stated above, which may result in slight compression lowering, not 100% on that though

They bolt up to the j30 block but you will lose some compression due to the larger bore difference. You can mill the heads so that the bore is 86mm instead of 89.

Milling the heads will also result in some loss of valve clearence so I normally suggest replacing the exhaust valve springs with 07 TLs springs.

Thanks for the info guys. I only asked auto or manual as an auto will not have been overreved and is less likely to have been driven as hard.

No thank you but I appreciate it. A little too complicated for me with the bore difference. I'll just get some J30 heads. GLWS
