Car PC Project (Any Interest?)

Hey all,

I began a project about a year ago, and ended up getting sidetracked, and then it fell to the wayside.. I came across the parts the other day and am not going to finish it so I figured Id see if anyone had any interest in it.

The project outline you can read about Engineering(DIY): RaspberryPI CarPC tutorial There at that link.

I had it working then my card died and I was stupid enough not to clone it prior..

Anyway... Parts I have

7 inch touchscreen
Din mount for 7 inch touchscreen
Center dash piece for GPS for 7th gen (people used this for tablet installs)
I also have the din mount for 7th gen to go where the stock radio goes
GPS antenna
12v to usb 5 volt power x2 ea
Several wires, and cables
adaptors to extract audio from HDMI (for Intel Compute stick)
I can even throw in the original Raspberry Pi if the offer is right

I was goign to do this with the Pi, but tried also with the Intel compute stick... (which was easier) but the compute stick ended up going on my bedroom TV...LOL

I have to take some pics, but its just a bunch of parts sitting partially assembled. I can add pics if there is any interest.

I will say this though

At this moment I do not want to part things out

if you do not know any linux the raspberry Pi version may not be a good choice... some of the tutorial has a learning curve and need to read between the lines sometimes... Raspberry Pi 2 or 3 would work better in my opinion....

If there is any interest post here or send me a PM and Ill get some pics posted.. If not Ill ask the thread to be closed in a few days.

Chris

Sorry Just saw this...

Added pictures... I was going to do a Dual screen thing but never got the second screen.. I did buy a kit for the Pi that you ahve to assemble that uses GPIO to VGA, I was not sure if it would work dual monitors.... Like I said it was all a experimental project....
Thats why there is 2 mount kits. (dash radio and above kit)

As for price... The parts shown , wthout the Pi ran me about 250 or so. What is it worth to you? Make me a decent offer..
