Black Bologna is a closed cell neoprene sponge used in recording studio room walls to limit the transmission of sound from room to room.
when used in a car it block road, engin, exhasut and wind noise, depending on where you use it

I am not sure which one I sent you.
WHich one did you order?
I talk with about 25 customers per day, so forgive me if I dont remember.
Motor mat goes under your hood, not under the wheel wells.
stfu-80 can go anywhere in the car
damplifier should go on all flat and vertical surfaces. nothing upside down

Black bologna is not onthe current website
We are having a new site made and all of our products will be listed.

Brex.
STFU-80 is the top of the line. an entire trunk can take up to 60 sq feet for 2 layers. 40 sq feet is usually enought though.
Motor mat absorbas heat as well as reflects it. it willn ot heat your engine up to noticable amounts

I do not have much in the way of a system so if it increases the music i can hear clearer then that is a side benefit. However road noise is a *****. People complain that it sounds like im in a wind tunnel *i imagine from the sensitivity of the mike on the cell*

What would be the easiest and cover my needs the best? Also anyone have pics of this stuff installed, especially the trunk? I want it to blend in with the black of the trunk so you dont really notice it sitting there

I am thinking all four door panels and the trunk lid would be the most problematic areas. Would that 40 sq ft be enough? What other areas might need covering?

Also the Black Bologna, for that price how much is sent to you? <-- N/M I just now saw the answer lol

the most important part of any sound deadening foundation is the vibration damper. (mass loader) this would be Second SKin damplifier or stfu-80.
this will add weight to the panels to reduce the resopnant frequencies to inaudible levels.
The vibration dampers kill structure borne vibrations and sound.
Barriers and absorbers, the next layers, reduce air borne sound waves, (road noise, engin, exhaust, and wind noise etc.)
Black BOlogna can be a absorber or barrier depending on how you use it.
it reflects certain frequencies and absorbs soe as well.

Your best bet is to use a combo of STFU-80 and black Bologna. this will give you great results.

Check out this page to see some pics of a 77 bug I recently dampened:
http://members.sounddomain.com/secondskinaudio

Hope this info helps

yeha, I havnt had time to work ont he bug tutorial yet.
Black Bologna is going to get a name change soon. it will be called 'overkill'
simply because it will lay over the vibration damper, and kill road noise.
great product!!
