MB Quart Comp. Speakers RCE-216

Just want to get a feel for who is SERIOUSLY interested in buying a set of MB Quart Reference Series Component Speakers 6.5"/6.75" (RCE216). These are a brand new set at $175 shipped to your door if we get 20+ sets or $195 shipped to your door if we get 10+sets. Shipping applies only to USA and some parts of Canada. I will be buying a total of 6 sets myself. So then we will only need 14 more ppl to get it at $175 shipped. These include the manufacturer warranty and if there is any defects with them I will send you out a brand new set and you can send me back the defected ones and I will pay the shipping of them both ways. You can email me at [email protected] or post here or PM.
Payment Methods: Paypal, Money Order, Check, Wire transfer, Cash (locals).
Location: I'm located in East Troy, WI 53120

I have these speakers (front and rear) in my Mercedes C230K and they are excellent sound quality speakers. PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS VOTES. This poll will close in 5 days (GB may start earlier, if enough inquiries).

I think the MB Quart's. I have heard the pioneer in my friends grand prix but sound quality was not as good. This is my honest opinion, if the Pioneer's were better I would have bought those since I could get those at a better price. and MB Quart's 130 watts is RMS. If you could hear them you will notice the difference and see MB Quart's are better.

rms wattage is continous always goes at that, where as peak is seldomly reached if ever. You definetly want to go by rms wattage cuz peak is not reliable. It also helps when shopping for an amp to mate to the speakers or subs. If you look under the Audio/Video section you will prolly find more detailed description.

So by wattage pioneer has 80w RMS less, while the dB is 6 more for pioneer. MB Quart has an 86 dB (obtained from crutchfield). You really need to hear the MB Quarts to see the quality.

hmm nice.
Does any1 know how these stack up to adire audio kodas or the alpine spx-177r component sets? I was actually going to purchase a set of Kodas tomorrow, but I might join this if there are some positive reviews.

I have the Alpine spx-177r on my AV6 coupe its very close to the MB Quarts in the benz. I have same amp running both and have to say that its pretty equal in output but I have to give sound quality (at higher volumes as well) to MB Quart. Although, it could be that cars are different and sound may be better in one car over other. The reason I started a GB on these is cuz this is the best in its class overall. I really wish you guys could hear these. I cant say much for the Adire cuz never heard them.

I agree with Habib. MB Quart speakers are just unreal in their sound quality. I'm still contemplating on getting a set, but is there any chance of getting a GB with the MB Quart 6x9's for the rear too? The only reason I am not jumping on this deal is because I was just given a set of Pioneer 6 1/2's (Rev Series). I don't know if anyone has ever heard of them, but they sound really good. It has a yellow cone but the cone is made out of Aramid Woven Fiber (looks like carbon fiber fabric before the resin is applied). Might not be the greatest speaker, but they were free!

your talking about the DKE-169, if there is enough interest I can do them. With the RCE-216 it wont be a problem getting 20 ppl. I will be buying at least 6 sets, on a mercedes forum I have another 8 ppl. So all we need is 6 more ppl.
For the rear I'm just going to put the 6.5" in their with slight modification it should fit (they may even make a bracket for it.
No comment for Pioneer, if u look under the Audio/Video section you will see the post about their service.

oh yeah. you don't have to tell me about their service. I've heard and experienced plenty, but the value of these speakers and the money I have invested into them ($0), i really can't complain. So how soon do you plan on doing the order for these speakers?

Ideally, sometime next week would be excellent (closer to the end of the week). But I'm not sure if I'm all in yet. I'll let you know something as soon as I find out how the money situation looks.
