Raffles For Cancer!

Hi everyone My name is Armand and I wanted to take a new approach in selling some things I wasnt planning on getting rid of. I will be taking pictures of everything soon so no worries (I dont have access to a digital camera as of the moment).

In short, I'd like to explain the inspiration behind the thread. My life has been touched in many ways because of cancer. I've known two of my best friends who have lost loved ones because of it, Ive had a friend whose father has prostate cancer, and about a year ago my best friend in the world (my grandfather) was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Im lucky to live in Houston, TX. Home to arguably one of the greatest cancer and research hospitals in the entire world (MD Anderson).

In order to take a more pro-active approach I've encouraged some friends and I to produce a charity raffle drawing that would DIRECTLY go to research. ALL of the money raised will be presented to the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center which can be seen here: http://www.mdanderson.org/departments/development/

Now onto the stuff I hope some of you would be interested in...

*PLEASE NOTE: Each of the items will need a separate raffle ticket to be purchased for.

The items up for winnings are the following:

1. PASSPORT X50 BLUE RADAR (USED FOR 3 MONTHS WITH NO SCRATCHES, PAINT DENTS, ETC.)- PERFECT CONDITION GUARANTEED WITH UPGRADED ESCORT SUCTION CUPS, THE ORIGINAL BOX AND USER MANUAL, AND ALL THE PROPER POWER CORDS.

2. PLAYSTATION 2 USED IN PERFECT WORKING CONDITION- NO SCRATCH MARKS ETC. COMES WITH 3 GAMES (DEAD OR ALIVE, MEDAL OF HONOR, AND TIMESPLITTERS) AND 2 LISCENCED SONY PS2 BLACK CONTROLLERS.

3. 2 MONTHS OLD- AIWA STEREO (160 WATTS, 2 SUBWOOFERS, 3-DISC CD CHANGER, BARELY USED!! AND STILL WITH ALL THE ORIGINAL TAGS AND STICKERS).

4. SEAGULL ACOUSTIC GUITAR- 1 MONTH OLD AND BARELY USED COMES WITH CASING FOR IT ALSO!!

Basically here's how it works: Each ticket will only be $15 a piece. Originally we wanted to try and keep it down to $8-10 but then shipping costs would have had to be added and we didnt want to do to that to everyone. EACH TICKET INCLUDES SHIPPING. No single item is worth more than the other so need to worry about that. We arent in here to make profit anyway. Shipping only assumes domestic states.

I wanted to gain a consensus on who would be interested in doing this. There's no limit to the number of tickets you can purchase and the winners selected will be announced on the thread. This will start later tonight or early tomorrow and end on January 5, 2005.

The people who bought tickets will be listed by their username and what they entered for on this post towards the bottom and the number of tickets on which cateogry they entered and how many times.

Each contestant will be personally PMed a number- the number corresponds to your raffle ticket. Please hold this number for later (we also have a copy as well).

Please Note: This is completely for charity and we're VERY adamant about keeping it this way. If any of the moderators have a concern/question about this please let me know. Also, if the website owner(s) have a question/concern feel free to let me know. Ive established many friendships on the site and have even done smooth transactions with others.
