F/S: Garmin 2610 In-Car GPS Navigation System - $435 OBO

Up for sale is the GARMIN 2610 in-car GPS navigation system. I've had it for about 8 months, however it was hardly ever used. The System is in MINT condition, and it works flawlessly. I paid $700.00 for it, and I'm asking for $435 or best offer. Pick up is free, and shipping will be $15.00.

more information can be found at http://www.garmin.com/products/sp2610/

PM me or e-mail me ([email protected]) if anyone is interested. I can accept cash, money order or Paypal. However you will need to include the 3% fee is paying by PayPal.

This is a MINT system, I haven't used it much, $415 SHIPPED is the lowest that I will go. It comes with the original retail with everything that came with the retail box. Shipping alone will be at least $15, buy.com's got a bulk shipping contract with USPS, UPS or Fedex, but I have to pay retail shipping price to mail it to you. Let me know if you are interested.

does navigation w/ CD have much of disadvantages compared to the one w/ satellite, such as Garmin..?

No, there is none, because this unit (the Garmin 2610) IS a SATELLITE unit. Its the same the ones that are build into the cars. The ones that are build into cars run off a DVD disc which is usually located in the trunk. The garmin unit uses a memory card, and it lets you load maps (mine has the entire tri-stated area loaded) into. The garmin unit is also portable, and it can be used in different cars.

Anyone who is interested PM me or e-mail me.

But, aren't TomTom, Magellan, Garmin use real time condition, such as traffic alert, re route, current weather...?

and the CD has one set of data, and it costs $$ to uprade to the latest added road, right? Maybe I am wrong..

I am talking about the navigation system w/ CD for 7th generation. Does it have the same satellite support as the ones for Magellan/ TomTom....

Magellan RoadMate finds your location and the map continuously moves with you via our TrueFix™ technology. Tracking up to 14 GPS satellites simultaneously, assisted by the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), the Magellan RoadMate is accurate to within 3 meters or better so that you can rest assured that you know where you are and where you’re going.)

Yes, this Garmin does know exactly where you are, even is you make a wrong turn, and did not follow the directions from the screen, it will AUTOMATICALLY recalculate and re-route you to your destination.

As far as real time traffic information, such as car accidents, the TomTom's, Megallen and Garmin do not have this feature. I know that the New Acura RL's have this feature on its build-in navi.

Price is $415 shipped, anyone interested, PM me =)

There wasn't anything that I didn't like about it. The only reason that I'm selling it is because I've sold my old car (2000 Honda Accord), which DID NOT have a build-in navigation. I drive an Acura TSX now, and it has a build-in Navi, so its pointless for me to keep the Garmin unit. You can enter the EXACT address or you can enter just the street or city and the Garmin unit will calculate the route and guide you to your destination. It will give you on-screen directions AND Voice guidance. Also, if you make a wrong turn or took the wrong exit, it will AUTOMATICALLY recalculate another route for you, you don't have to do anything. Its a great portable navi. It comes with the retail box with EVERYTHING inside. Let me know if you are interested.

You got PM =)

Yeah, you can enter the address into the Garmin unit directly, it has a touch screen.
