For Sale 2002 CL Type S MOTOR

For Sale, one used 2002 3.2L CL Type S MOTOR. This motor is in Davie FL at the shop that did my dyno work. I'm told it had roughly 25000 miles on it when it came out of a wrecked 02 CL. It looks fine to me while I was crawling over it for the pics. He'd really like to move it as it's been sitting there for a couple years.

If anyone is looking to make a 3.5L, this is the basic starting point. This block is the same block used for the 3.5L, the only difference is a 3.5 crank and rods are needed. This combined with RL pistons will work well with the CL Heads and valves; there will be no piston to valve clearance issues. You could even upgrade the cams to the RL Cams if you use the RL pistons as the clearance is already cut into the RL pistons.

I also saw what looked like the the transmission laying next to the motor, don't know the state of that tranny, and we all know what a POS they are. I suppose it might be useful to someone if they are looking into a DR. EVIL tranny upgrade and wish to have a core to send.

The asking price is 2000.00 nego. for the COMPLETE MOTOR ONLY. Shipping is at your expense, expect a cross country ship to be upwards to 250.00 give or take a few.

PM me if interested... and don't drill me with questions about "will this fit with this". OK? Peace.

And this motor will fit 6-speed CL-S tranny if someone wants with extra ECU and engine harness mess.

All CLS and CLP motors will fit either the auto or 6 speed manual. All 3.2L 01-03 share the same platform on the bolt pattern for the tranny. There is no doubt in my mind as to fitment.

My other motor is on hold for a bit due to my busy schedule. I picked it up from the guy that was going to build it for he had it for over a year and wasn't making much progress. In the meantime, I'm having a blast with allmotors turbo on it. Have you seen the dyno I did a couple weeks ago? go to the acura site, it's off the charts! Good luck with the wiring issues, it can be worked out. Oh, by the way, whatever happened with issue you had with that guy in south florida you told me about? Take care.

Go to this website http://www.cartek-tuning.com and call them. The motor is at this place. His name is Stefano and is the owner of Cartek. I can't speak for him on the price, but guessing if your close in price, I'd say yes. The motor probabley was not check for a leak down. Upon my visual inspection, It looks very good, I took off the oil fill cap and stuck my nose in there, smells like a normal motor. There is some wiring to it, how much I don't know. Just give him a call and make an offer.
