** ALL Members Please Read **

Hey guys,

Recently, there have been more than a few bad deals that have gone down in our our classifieds forum. From now on, before buying something, please be EXTRA sure that you take precautions so that you don't get ripped off.
  1. Save all conversations, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.
  2. Pay through means by which you would have a chance to get your money back somehow
  3. Get insurance for items you buy
  4. Try to deal with members who have been around for a while and have a clean reputation (although this has been proven to fail in the past so be careful).

In general, just err on the side of caution and remember to be extra-careful. I hate to see bad deals go down on here and I hate when people have to wait forever to get their money back or to finally get what they paid for.

SELLERS: Make sure to be as prompt as possible after you receive payment. Please pack the items in a safe manner and send it out ASAP. This will all work out better if people will just try to help each other out and not make people wait on receiving what they paid for.

is it possible to send the completed transaction to an admin, and if the buyer or seller doesnt come thru, the admin can post up the failed transaction?

I'm debating whether or not to sticky this right away because a lot of times people just "skip" the sticky threads because they've been there so long. Hopefully for now people will just keep bumping this and eventually I'll sticky it.

Bump.... I just recently dealt with a bad seller. Took him over a month to get me the item and also with little to no responses to my PM's. Only once I contacted a Mod did he respond. It was also my first buy on this forum and already experienced the wraith.

just becareful....

keeping it on top.

sellers, treat your buyers like you want to be treated. they call it the "golden" rule for a reason. we send money to people weve never seen before, and more trustworthiness cannot hurt the community as a whole

Guys,

This thread is serious and not to be taken in a jokingly manner. If you do not have anything constructive to say, then please read the thread and move on.

Also guys, I want to add in the old cliche of "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" so sometimes it might be better to pay a little more to get the sure thing. Also, purchase things locally if you have the chance rather than going through the shipping route.
