**SOLD** 40GB Photo iPod -- $100+shipping

I have a white 40gb photo iPod. There are small scratches on the front that all iPods get. I need a video iPod for my AVIC so I'm trying to get rid of this one. I can include the USB cable, headphones, and the Apple slip case (it's the one with the hard sides that the new ones don't come with). Still works great, for a while I wasn't using it at all, it just stayed plugged in. Battery still works and I hardly use it on battery.

To clarify: This iPod does everything that a normal iPod can do. It also has a color screen and support for putting pictures on it (all via iTunes). Apple's iPod Photo came out after the black/white versions and before the iPod Video.

$100+shipping...I'll try to post up pictures later today. Lemme know if you want it!

Jeff

It plays MP3s and does everything a normal iPod does...just no videos. It's the photo iPod that came out that supports putting pictures on it...it also has a color screen. I got this thing like 2 years ago.

Why not? All is Ipod video is Ipod Photo with different firmware/GNU in it...They are the same size, and screen is the same. I want to play non stop mp3 songs on my stock system through iPod, how can I do that? Much help would be appreciated, and I might pick this up if it can be flashed with linux . Also is this Ipod a 4th gen or 5th gen? I am already browsing for a linux kernel.

If you have the single disc CD player...there's an adapter out there (someone has mentioned it in the 6th gen section) that will let you connect this to the stock headunit. You have an 02 coupe...so chances are you've got the 6CD changer...which means you can't connect any ipod to your stock headunit.

I don't think my AVIC D3 will be able to recognize this iPod or recognize the videos on it if I loa linux on it.

Here are the pics...

This is what the screen looks like when it's on...those lines are from the camera...the little scratches on the screen don't affect the viewing at all.

Here's the case...genuine Apple...came with the iPod. It's got a belt clip on the back and the iPod just slips in.

The next three pictures are just showing the little scratches it has.

The scratches are from dust and dirt when putting it in my pocket or sliding it into the case...stuff like that.

I c. Well I snooped around the iLinuxWiki it sounds like it is really easy to install if you have Windows operating system there is wizard that does it for you. If you run on Linux its a bit harder. I might be interested in this iPod anyways if somebody does not pick it up. I do have a 6 disc .
